Driveclub VR Review – Well At Least It Didn’t Make Me Sick - ThisGenGaming

"Driveclub is a game that had a rocky start a couple years ago when it launched which ultimately led to the closure of developer Evolution Studios. The game was plagued by online issues for several months following its launch but today it’s actually one of the best racing games on PlayStation 4."

No its not. Its an underhanded way at stealth trolling. Piling on the negativity is getting old and played out.

TFJWM3161d ago

He gave it a 8/10 and then stealth trolls it? That doesn't make sense...

Nitrowolf23162d ago

Didn't make me sick either, although niehter did tomb raider or any of the other ones you can walk in, so I assume I must have a good tolerance against motion sickness.

I'm surprise a lot of reviewers are reporting it though, considering that In my honest opinion, it's the Lesser vr experience as all its for is for turning and looking around, which is expected of a racing game

TGGJustin3162d ago

I really only mentioned that it didn't because so many others have said it did. I guess I'm just more tolerant to it or something.

I wonder if those "sick" guys have calibration or lighting issues. As far as I can tell, if you follow set up advice, you don't get sick unless you're extremely prone to motion sickness, in which case, why go for VR?

Nitrowolf23161d ago

That's the issue I see to. Especially since everyone would have a different eye to eye measurement that should be re calibrated after each use. Hopefully Sony allows us to save those

sampson31213161d ago

yeah, i think people haven't been collaborating the game from the options.

Funny guess all the reviews that scored low because they got sick are moot now? I hate what's become of game review--er I mean game opinions now a days.

NotoriousWhiz3161d ago

Well, if I played GTAV and then got a seizure, would it be appropriate for me to rate it as 1/10 because it gave me a seizure (even after the warning that if you are prone to seizures, you should not play this game?)

Not everyone can handle VR, and if you're one of those that can't, then you probably shouldn't be reviewing it.

NotoriousWhiz3161d ago

Sorry, it sounded like you were complaining about the review's comment that it didn't make them sick.

CrimsonWing693161d ago

No the other day I was on here and some reviewer gave drive club VR a 2/10 and I was mentioning how if you can't handle it find a reviewer that can.

Of course some white knight came to defend the reviewer saying it's completely valid because a review is just an opinion and this is his opinion.

So basically I was pointing out how flawed the review--er, I mean opinion system is.

I sensed a little sickness when i got the seating position, but after adjusting the seating/view position to my comfort, I was fine. The immersive experience was awesome!

IMO, there's two that are better than all these (except maybe Beat Saber), Thrill of the Fight and AUDICA.

Literally, the vast majority of these games aren't flight simulators. Don't write about what you don't know.
