Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: First Look at Goku Black

Goku Black, the latest threat to the Dragon Ball universe, is making his way to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. First screenshots are out.

Dragonball has gone down hill since GT. I'm not sure why it's still a thing. The animations are just horrendous ;)

I can't agree with you CornDogBurglar, Dragon Ball Super is so much worse than GT.

The fights are better in GT. I haven't seen one fight in Super that i would call memorable so far. The choreography is terrible for the fights in Super. It's mainly because the animation is so terrible. TOEI are trying to get by with minimal effort.

Characters are better in GT. I'm not saying the characters are great in GT, but at least they had some character progression, in Super it's like every character has regressed. It's like they all got younger and became more stupid at the same time. The characters are just childish.

Animation. It's been pointed out more than enough times now, but i'll say it again, Super's animation is woeful. Character designs are flat out wrong for a start. Hair isn't long enough, characters look too skinny, characters often look deformed, and in some cases the characters don't even look like themselves anymore, Gohan and Videl being the prime examples of this. That is just the beginning though, the background doesn't blend in, the beams of energy look awful ( look at the Kamehameha wave as an example ), then you have mistakes in pretty much every single scene. We shouldn't accept this level of animation from TOEI. They own the 2 biggest Anime's in Japan, their animation for these 2 shows should be at the very top. If Super was given another year to prepare, it could have looked so much better. It look's nothing like a Dragon Ball series.

Super is also terribly written. GT has it's own problems there but Super is worse. Super has too many crappy jokes with the characters pulling stupid faces. Vegeta is the worst for this. He has gone from being a very serious person to a character that makes goofy faces all of the time. I also didn't see the point in retelling the 2 movies, that was a complete waste of time and badly done. Future Trunks returning has been a let down too. The guy is supposed to be in his 30's but he is written and look's like he is still a teenager.

The villains are a joke too, their character designs suck and none of them a memorable like the villains in the past.

The transformations are on a whole new level of ridiculous now. Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan Rose, Golden Frieza ? it's just regurgitating the same crap now with each transformation getting worse in design. It's like watching some sort of terrible fan fiction taking place. It's like what Dragon Ball AF would look like if it actually happened.

There is no edge to the show, nothing makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, it's all very meh. The soundtrack sucks too. It doesn't even sound like a Dragon Ball series.

The whole show is a mess, it needed another year before releasing and the people that are saying this show is good are in complete denial or have forgotten what a good Anime actually is. They are just desperate for a Dragon Ball series to be good again. It's ironic really, it's called Dragon Ball Super, but it's actually the complete opposite to Super.
