Imagine a Shin Megami Tensei MMORPG getting licensed to Aeria Games

Siliconera: Cave (yes, the Cave famous for shooters) developed a massively multiplayer online RPG based in the Shin Megami Tensei universe. Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine is a free to play online game where players either choose to rebuild a post apocalyptic Tokyo and join the law side, disrupt the system by joining the chaos side, or in typical Shin Megami Tensei fashion choose neither and go neutral. Other staples from the Shin Megami Tensei series like demon negotiation and demon fusion are also present in the game. Atlus Japan makes money through microtransactions where players trade cash for in game items.

Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine was released only in Japanese last year. According to this forum thread at Aeria it appears they will be publishing the game in other languages. A "Game Master" under the handle Superman0X claims they have the rights to English and German language versions of Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine. No details on a date and the lack of an official press release throws this post into the probably-will-happen rumors bin. We'll keep you posted on this when more details emerge because you can dress up like a nurse and fight demons with a larger than life syringe.

Top Ten Worst Megami Tensei Demon/Persona Designs

Blistered Thumbs: How can you screw up the designs of history's greatest demons, monsters, and deities? You have to see for yourself. It gets... bad.

Some of Atlus' Megami Tensei games have even been compared to Pokemon because of their emphasis on collecting different monsters, but the MegaTen franchise is lucky enough to have of all of the mythologies of history to draw from for its character design, resulting in some truly horrifying, awesome, and badass creatures. On the other hand, there have been some royal misfires, and that’s what I’m here to talk about today.
