You gotta give it to Sony. They really do know how to make proper hardware. This thing literally puts ZERO pressure on your face. No straps to work around everytime you are putting it on. Just place it over your head like a hat and tighten the ring. Pretty cool idea.

Yeah - Sony has a deep history in HMD tech, I believe going back as early as 1995 with Glasstron.

PSVR was the far more comfortable, ergonomic option than the others, even a couple of years ago.

Everything Ive read from people that have tried PSVR with glasses have been very complimentary and that it was pretty comfortable even with glasses on.

Check up on Digital Foundry's video review of PSVR. The reviewer said he has no problem wearing it with his glasses and was well designed in that regard.

PSVR is the most comfortable with glasses. There is nothing which causes pressure on the glasses like with the OR. The display kind of floats in front of your face, and is not pressed against you like with the OR or Vive. Glasses fit comfortably into the space within with ample room all around to accommodate spectacles.

I wore my glasses while playing 7 demos for roughly an hour and it felt great. It adjusts specifically for glasses as it can be moved closer or further from your face. Also, it actually has all the pressure on the top of your forehead and the back of your head and the visor actually sits in front of your face almost like a welding helmet. Whereas the other headsets are suctioned to your face like ski goggles. PSVR is by far the most glasses friendly and remarkably comfortable.

The other headsets need to presh against your face like goggles, this can be an issue if you wear glasses, PSVR doesnt press against your face and the screen can be pushed as close or as far as you need it, making room for anyaize glasses you may want to wear.

Article came out just recently, Gamestop has some in stock at launch for non-preorders. (On Oct 12th at 6pm, NOT 13th) Furthermore, they only hold PSVR preorders for two days, you should head there and try to get one, just dont be dissapointed if they run out.

This. So comfortable. Also Sony are display masters; the screen was so nice even though resolution wasnt up with rivals - but resolution and pixel counting doesn't matter right? RIGHT? NEVER had frame drops so for my PC spoiled eyes was nice.

I suppose maybe one day I will get a Vive... later, but for now, PSVR was great enough for us during a period when this tech is new. When it get amazing, then I will splurge for the top of the line HMD kit.

I saw the Rift and wasn't impressed. It had terrible screen door effect where I could see each sub pixel. The optics were awful, it got blurry as soon as you looked out from dead center with loads of chromatic abberation to top it off.

Assuming that PSVR will be even WORSE because it is cheap and lower resolution I will pass. Also having to stand up and swing those silly balls around for hours can be tiring.

This looks like a promising tech 10 years from now when devices have the power to do it right.

Don't worry princess, both Rift and Vive suffer from screen door effect far more than PSVR.

i tried one not even two hours ago. i didn't think it would still be at best buy, and since i had the movies i wanted, i almost went right past it. some guy was trying the batman vr. when he was done, i tried rigs. the assistant dude put it on a bit tight, but it was really comfy. i felt a little... not dizzy, but i thought i was really high up. but no nausea or anything.

Looks like Sony may well have 2 killer platforms now with both PS4 & psvr. Its getting great reviews and the pro's far outweigh the cons. Plus with 30ish launch titles to boot theres gonna be lots to do.

Sony could have this xmas on lockdown.

Since I have to wear glasses, it is a deal-breaker for the other VR headsets. This one has nice reviews regarding glasses specifically and comfort in general.

I'm sure Sony has a patent on the design of PSVR, so the other companies will probably have to be extra crafty to figure out how to make their headsets work with glasses. If they don't have a patent, HTC and Oculus should have gotten on that a year ago.
