Batman: Arkham VR Review - Gamespot

Batman: Arkham VR is barely a game. Of all the launch titles for PlayStation VR, it's likely to be the least mechanically driven, but that doesn't mean it has no value. While playing it, I was totally enveloped in the world, and in those moments the shallow mechanics didn't matter to me. I appreciate that this is a very subjective emotional response based on my lifelong obsession with the character, but it's also a glimpse into one of the greatest promises of VR: Its ability to transport us into alien worlds and blur the lines between what is real and what isn't. To give us the opportunity to sideline our real selves and absolutely inhabit characters we've dreamed of being since childhood.

I'm really hyped for PSVR, but more than half the launch titles I'll wait till they achieve bargain bin prices and this is one of them.

However I will be picking up Driveclub and Possibly Rigs on day one. Maybe another game if it gets great reviews.

gamefreaks365967d ago

Yeah, that's a good point. Still, if anyone missed out on them, this is a great deal.

Arkham VR was overpriced garbage. Not even comparable to the superb Ironman VR. Clickbait.

Lmfao, what? I've played both, and Iron Man VR is so far and above better, it's not even close.

I played and actually enjoyed Batman Arkham VR but it was still not worth the price it charged it felt more like an Alpha concept as opposed to an actual VR game.

Iron Man VR is a fun game, Batman VR was just boring, the only good think about it was I could stare at Harley Quinn's boobs in VR
