I'm pretty sure NX is Nintendo's answer to Microsoft and Sony

SweatyFlorida2799d ago

title says this fall. We're in October a not a goddamn peep about NX from Nintendo, it won't be released until next year, aka, no answer to sony/xbox THIS FALL.

tealive2799d ago

Almost winter is when it releases. :P

Red_Renegade2799d ago

just cuz it might not be on sale in the fall doesn't mean the answer won't come in the fall.

lxeasy2799d ago (Edited 2799d ago )

This fall will be Microsoft vs Sony. We can expect a triple threat match next year when Nintendo releases NX.

kaizokuspy2799d ago

This fall will just be sony, ps pro vs scorpio isn't realistic as it doesn't come out until next year

PhoenixUp2800d ago

Nope Nintendo is still screwed in the console space this holiday season. The Wii U doesn't have a lot going for it this fall and NES Mini is just a side dish and nothing major.

Ol_G2799d ago

Do you know the profit margins on that thing? It's probably more than on ps4 x1 or wii u

SinkingSage2799d ago

What kind of drugs are you on?

Ol_G2799d ago (Edited 2799d ago )

Good shit :p but seriously how much money does sony earn per ps4 sold i really don't think the margin on higher end hardware is bigger than what essentially is a NES emulator

PhoenixUp2799d ago

Wow really? Lmao wow. When you see all the type of games and features the PS4 & XO are receiving this holiday season, you're actually thinking about profit margins? GTFO with that

miyamoto2800d ago

Maybe Nintendo should change its name into "Nostalgia"

Jeedai Infidel2799d ago

Don't you mean NEStalgia?

Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

gamer78042799d ago

have a feeling nintendo is in big trouble, they've survived so far by releasing their hardware mid cycle, but now sony and microsoft will be updating theirs mid cycle w/ the ps4pro and the scorpio. It might still sell enough to survive with nintendo's first party titles and being a portable hybrid, but their future seems uncertain at best.

MasterCornholio2799d ago

It's a cute little system. However it won't compete with the PS4 or the X1.

The Status of Every PlayStation Franchise

Sony owns a fair few iconic franchises - many dating right back to the original PlayStation. But while we’re pretty familiar with the likes of ongoing series such as God of War, Horizon, and Gran Turismo, there are plenty of PlayStation franchises that haven’t seen the light of day in a long time. So in this video, we’re going to be taking a look at the status of PlayStation’s many IPs, and checking in on when we last heard from them.

Status in one word:

Underutilized.

The end.

anast17h ago

Which ones should they utilize more?

BehindTheRows16h ago

Indeed. We hear this “underutilized” talk as if every old franchise should have a comeback or reboot.

When new IPs start looking like Concord, you can't blame people for wanting another Resistance or Killzone instead.

anast15h ago(Edited 15h ago)

J&D and Resistance are good ones. As much as I love these, though, I'm not sure they would payoff without an enormous marketing push. Younger gamers today do not have taste and the older gamers that would appreciate these might not be enough. But yeah, I would day 1 Resistance.

Well that’s just the consequence of consistently producing new IPs isn’t it. Not all studios can be or want to be like polyphony digital who made gran turismo all the time.

Here lies The Infamous Series; once a shining beacon of free flying, lighting bolt sniping, and wire riding amazing gameplay, it has been laid to rest and be forgotten for what seems like forever despite being loved by millions. Plot next to Wipeout across from NBA Jam.

Lightning7712h ago

Still baffling they cancelled Twisted Metal, Factions 2 and Spider-Man Multiverse LS game but thought Concord looked good enough.

Chocoburger12h ago

Ape Escape, Parappa / Lammy, Gravity Rush, good times. Always hoping for them to make a return, or at least similar type games, such as the newly-announced Astro Bot, but one game isn't enough. Bring back the joyfulness of the 90's era of gaming.
