Wow, these flying robots at 2:36 till 2:47 look seriously cool; and that big building or city in the background is quite imposing. The whole atmosphere of this game seems so different from other games.

ninsigma3186d ago

Holy crap that's beautiful! I'm generally not an open world player so this is only the 3rd time I've been super excited for an open world game (other 2 being skyrim and witcher 3). The devs seem to have gone above and beyond any of their previous work with this one. I will savour every morsel of time I spend on this game xD

Darkfist_Flames3186d ago

that looks awesome, cant wait to hunt these dinos.

phoenixwing3186d ago

after seeing that i think i should go on a media blackout when it comes to this game. I've already seen a whole lot that would have made the game something special to witness first hand on my tv.

UCForce3186d ago (Edited 3186d ago )

This makes me smile. I can't describe it how much I love every articles about GG.

Edit : People compare this game like other games which I understand, but Horizon Zero Dawn is need to be own game. For example, Lord of the Fallen is great game despite it's a Souls Clone, but LoTF surpassed its own by doing different, not trying to compete or copy.

phoenixwing3186d ago (Edited 3186d ago )

No where do they say exactly why GG needed it to be a rpg. They basically say they added elements of things they wanted and were eclectic basically. The dev even went on to say that they went "light" into rpg elements (stats and leveling aren't very in depth). They focused more on making Aloy agile and quick. Making the gameplay that way as well. Which is fine with me because the game looks epic from what i've seen and I already have it pre-ordered.

This should be a warning to people expecting hardcore rpg elements, you need to change expectations. This is an ARPG first before it's a RPG.

ShadowKnight3186d ago (Edited 3186d ago )

After playing it I can tell you it has enough RPG elements and depth in the game. They are right that its similar to Monster Hunter imo. That's what I thought after playing it.

phoenixwing3186d ago (Edited 3186d ago )

i'm not trying to knock the game or saying it doesn't have "depth" i'm only going off of what they said, someone expecting level up trees and high leveling up of your character may come away disappointed. It's not going to be like the Witcher 3 when it comes to leveling and what not.I didn't hear any of this being mentioned until this video and i think it's important that others know this going in.

Edit: I have the game pre-ordered and will be enjoying it just as much as the next person. I also own god eater 2 rage burst and like monster hunter esque games. The fact that they made an open world with quests, story, and depth has me very excited along with the great combat.

The robots kinda remind me a bit of how I used to imagine Bionicle Rahi. Nostalgia ...

I love this controller. Feels so nice in the hand. Plus the battery lasts for days, it's crazy.

peppeaccardo23h ago

$100 ?????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????

1nsomniac22h ago

Yea the pricing for Nintendo peripherals is a bigger joke than the game prices. What the hell were they thinking!

peppeaccardo12h ago

i mean for a piece of slightly redesigned plastic with the same take of the last few years this has written GREED all over it ! Shame on Nintendo.

OMNlPOTENT8h ago

It's $85. The standard Dualsense is $75. The Dualsense Edge (Playstation Pro controller) is $200. The Xbox Elite (Xbox Pro controller) is also $200. How exactly is $85 so drastically insane compared to those prices?

Neonridr8h ago

the battery lasts like 10 times as long as a dualsense though.

Stevonidas3h ago

Not true; more like 20.

You may commence with your butthurt, ponies.

fsfsxii1h ago

It doesn't have analogue tho, sooo....

Tacoboto1h ago

$85 USD
or $75 at CostCo (same standard price as a DualSense)

Even at $85, you're getting 3-4x the battery life of a DualSense, and it is (by a HUGE margin) the cheapest first-party console controller with Back Paddles.

The thing is, over the past decade, third-party controllers have really stepped up. You can often get better quality, more durability, and stronger performance for half the price of first-party options. Meanwhile, controllers from Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have become increasingly mediocre, expensive, fragile, and not particularly impressive across the board. What makes this especially noticeable with Nintendo is that they’re surprisingly open to third-party hardware. That openness ends up highlighting just how much better the alternatives are.

Vits17h ago

Pretty much most things by half a dozen of chinese manufactures. Like, 8bitdo, Gamesir, Machenike, Gulikit, Flydigi, Manba, EasySMX, etc.

The exception would be really low tier stuff by those companies... those wouldn't be better, they would be about the same quality. But more durable.

Themba7619h ago

Best controller I’ve ever used I even like more than my dual sense edge

UltimateOwnage12h ago(Edited 12h ago)

Having used Dual Sense, Pro Controller 1, and 8BitDo Ultimate extensively, I am pretty much in love with Pro Controller 2. The easy reassignment on the grip buttons is such a big plus, but the soft edge joysticks are the best feeling sticks of any controller I’ve ever used. It’s really an awesome controller. The HD Rumble 2 also finally has some thud and the headphone jack is great with a pair of good phones. It’s worth the slight price increase IMO.

Profchaos6h ago

The pro controller 2 for me has the best weight and size it fits the hand perfect like the duelshock 4 did imo

I actually dislike the duelsense controller because of its size but the features are amazing on it.

Still as for the pro 2 no analog triggers is surprisingly something I dont actually miss

PRIMORDUS18h ago

I have the original pro controller and TBH, I don't use it as much. I'm mostly using the Switch in handheld mode with the Hori Split Pad Compact Controller. I also never use the back buttons to program anything so I will not be buying this one here, so that will be $85.00 in my pocket 😂

Very good dev length for a AAA/AA game I'd say. Companies need to set an aim for this range. 1-2 is too little, I believe 3-4 is perfect. Any more is too much. Games don't need to be these gigantic games full of a crazy amount of content. Just make a good game.

Skate-AK1d 10h ago

Lol. Had no idea who that was, but I will admit they do look quite similar.

Hideo Kojima calls Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “ideal” for one key reason

Legendary gaming auteur Hideo Kojima heaped praise on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, calling it “ideal” for one significant reason.

gigoran81d 18h ago

Greatness knows greatness. Simple as that. Expedition 33 is a masterpiece, built with a smaller team and with a smaller budget, blowing ubisoft out of the water. It doesn't matter how many devs you have and how much money you throw at it, great studios like Sandfall Interactive will always overcome you.

PrecursorOrb1d 3h ago

Kojima states the obvious lol

mastershredder1d 1h ago (Edited 1d 1h ago )

Ideal are you opinions being vacant from any discussion that is not about your own cringy universe Hideo.

The master of Vanity Tech Demos is here to tell us what a good game is. ooooh kay. It's pretty dang obvious without your 2 cents desperately needing relevance. This is just like his GTA grovel a while back. Yuck.

gold_drake1d 1h ago

quite honestly, i havent been able to stop thinking about it ha.

i keep playing it

__y2jb22h ago

He’s massively overrated and writes terrible dialogue.
