Destiny: Rise of Iron review - Gamesradar

With the addition of Rise of Iron, Destiny now feels as complete as is imaginable. Its excellent – if slightly briefer than hoped – campaign delivers some of the best-crafted, story-driven action Bungie has made since Halo.

I'm thinking about getting into Destiny.

Are there still many people playing this game?

UCForce2927d ago (Edited 2927d ago )

I am. And yes, there are still a lot of people playing it.

Honestly, if you have yet to play Destiny you can't go wrong with getting the Destiny Collection. It's the price of a regular full retail game and you get all the previously released content.

Always people playing the game, it's one of those games that isn't ever going to stop having enough people playing for you to do activities and as the person above me mentioned, with the Destiny collection now available, you can't go wrong.

I'd definitely advise finding a clan though, I find Destiny to be a bit boring solo but a lot of fun with others and it's essential when you get to the end game and want to start getting some of the better weapons from nightfalls, raids etc. Fortunately Destiny has a very friendly community, it won't be hard to find clans/groups who welcome new players.

I adore the style of Rise of Iron. It's Destiny meets Game of Thrones, you even get your own Direwolf.

For 30$ Im impressed with ROI. Its fun, exciting and they managed to make the game interesting and fresh again. Patrols have purpose now as do public events and the ROI book has lots to work towards. All in all the 4/5 is a soild review for this expansion and gives me hope that Destiny 2 will be worth playing unlike vanilla Destiny which was pretty pathetic at launch.

Exactly. They are learning from their mistakes and I'm happy to give them a pat on the back. I think destiny 2 is going to be really great especially without the 360/PS3 dragging it down in the technical department!

Let's see if you feel the same 2 weeks from now. I bought the previous DLC but not giving them any more of my money.

I played every expansion for months since launch. Will this get boring yes eventually it will but right now its fun and there is 0 Im interested in playing besides it. I dont care about Battlefront, CoD or Battlefield so this fall is pretty empty for me really.

You need to discover EDF! :D

Hard to review until we see the Raid which is the most important part of the game! But I really enjoyed the campaign. Nowhere close to as much content or as hard as The Taken King but it was still fun. The mountain climbing at the new social space gets a 10 out of 10 haha. So much fun!

posted this in a similar article not too long ago:

-60FPS
-dedicated servers for PVP
-weapon balance, not selective metas
-lose current sandbox testers/team
-all legendaies/exotics made useful, but obviously will have their strengths/weakeness depending on PVE or PVP and at their specific ranges. I do not want weapons that are absolute trash no matter when you use them.
