Sony reaffirmed that the standard PlayStation 4 is the "primary platform" for PlayStation VR and not its newer, more powerful PlayStation 4 Pro.

That's definitely important for them to reiterate. As long as the base PS4 can provide the minimum required experience and the Pro will only provide fluff above that, then it's a good thing. If ever the base model PS4 becomes a compromised experience or less than satisfactory, there will be issues.

Yet people in a certain camp will say that the PS4 Pro was made because VR doesn't run good on the vanilla PS4.

Even when the Pro is out, and VR is out, and it becomes common knowledge that VR runs perfect on Vanilla PS4, certain people will still make it seem like the PS4 is gimped for VR.

(Watch for it even in these comments. People will still try and downplay PS4 and VR with some stupid reasoning to why Sony is purposely misleading people)

They have to get more of those VR demo stations out. This is a the best experience for the holiday season...almost ahead of the Pro. Not much new there, actually. Maybe some high res games (still getting that first because I need a second one). But game play wise, VR changes everything. And it runs perfectly on the stock PS4. Tried it and it is phenomenal.

And of course it's the primary platform for VR. It's a 40M base which creates market potential while there are 0 PS4 Pro out yet...

Thats good news. I see sony stocks seeing a jump this holiday with VR and their consumer friendly Pro plus their 300 ps4. If you got an extra 1k or 2k bucks, you can make some extra cash. I'd buy now or wait a week or two and buy if it hits 30bucks or less. And if they go down which I don't expect them to during the holidays, Sony still has a lot under the hood to make it a slightly longer term investment with some big games coming out this year and next.

Over half a freaking million PSVR demo stations confirm this! So it's good that Sony had to once again come out and again confirm such to detractor's.. Never mind their very point in having over 500,000 + demo stations with using a standard PS4 instead of a PS4Pro was in very blunt terms saying such with actions , not just words..but with Detractor's.. You can never be sure.

Completely agree, but you have to remember Sony already shipped over 500,000 + Demo stations already and more are being shipped...that's a hell of a lot of Demo stations for PSVR.
