Well, that's a hard game to understand If you're used to traditional RPGs, but if you like tabletop RPGs or text adventure RPGs, you will find M&B a blast, because it is a combination of this two types of physical games but with a videogame core mechanics.

I've only played this game for little over an hour, but I found it awesome. It reminds me of Conqueror A.D. for DOS. Does anyone remember that game?

Couple quotes that tell all you need to know about this reviewer:

"In these instances, employing would-be companions is simply written. We don’t see a cutscene of a brotherly handshake or the raising of a glass, instead we see text on a blank parchment. Great if you’re a reader, but bummer if you’re not."

Traditional RPGs have always been heavy on text, and a lot of current ones still are. And since when do you get a "journalist" that complains about reading?

"There is no progression system, so winning any of the standardised multiplayer modes usually found in modern first-person shooters such as capture the flag, is pretty much meaningless."

So I guess it's CoD or bust with this guy. Multiplayer is also fun when everyone is on an even playing field at the beginning of every match. Leveling up is not a requirement for a fun multiplayer, nor does it's absence make it "meaningless".

Why M&B2: Bannerlord is the first game I will ever pre-order

Pre-ordering games is a silly thing to do, and we made a point of noting that every time we cover some sort of pre-order scheme. Usually, we add that you can do whatever you like with your time and money, but waiting for reviews is wise.

This looks amazing, and I got hundreds of hours out of Warband.
