I'm not keen on the first person genre but after playing the first demo I think I'll be making an exception for this! I updated the demo tonight but I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Also, that Baker family...wow, they're a crazy bunch!

I'm absolutely genuinely shocked at the amazing voice over and performance capture because it's Capcom , my assumption was it was going to be pretty bad and cheesy...

Anything but, the baker family is right out of Texas chainsaw or House of a Thousand Corpses. Color Me impressed.

I can't frickun wait to play this in VR, and die of a massive heart attack playing a video game. I've been playing RE since the first one but I have no issues with them going to first-person as long as it feels right, and it felt right with the demo.

So it look's like the entire game is first person and it's been confirmed that no character's from any of the previous game's will be in it.

I'm not sure i like the change to the Resident Evil game's but I'll probably end up getting it anyway.

I don't think they've explicitly said that no recognizable characters would be in it. There's an article here on n4g, that discusses it. Apparently it's been confirmed that at least Leon won't be seen at all.

Well you would have to consider at some point when Resident Evil first started they had several games were several characters were brand new....

Also I'm pretty positive it hasn't been confirmed that 0 characters in the previous Resident Evils would be inside of this game as I'm sure there's going to be a very crazy twist.

I've always been a fan of the RE franchise but can't honestly say I ever felt attached to any of its characters - so luckily for me it won't be a bother.

Resident Evil 7 looks like Capcom took PT and combined it with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, judging from the first person view and the Baker family. Not that it's a big problem, but I would rather 3rd person for Resident Evil. I'm definitely hopeful for this outing, but I remain skeptical given the recent entries in the series.

I rather this game be called something else. Weapons are useless, as you'll see in the trailer, which boils down to a hide and seek game, which isn't the resemblance of a Resident Evil game.

RE has strayed so far into a action game that the "horror" of it doesn't exists. RE for many ended at 3. Along with Raccon City. And that's where that game should have stopped.

Now you have a RESIDENT EVIL with new characters. I say capcom disregard all the other shit and matrix bosses, and focus on different horror stories with umbrella corp somehow related to it but with different characters and stories. Keep the RE title.
