I miss RTS games and it seems like developers no longer consider it a viable market although having said that there are 4 franchises making a comeback. Along with Sudden Strike, Cossacks 3 and Blitzkrieg, there is Warhammer 40,0000: Dawn of War 3, all releasing in 2017. The last really good RTS titles I played were World in Conflict and Company of Heroes 2 and of course, Starcraft 2 (not a patch on the original but still good)
I hope that all of these new releases of old and cherished franchises do not disappoint. I still get angry at EA for killing of the once great Command & Conquer franchise and the mind boggles why companies buy IPs or development houses only to mismanage them and let them wither and die. I still play C & C Generals and Red Alert 2 and apart from the graphics, most new games aren't even half as fun as these games.
Good luck to all developers releasing RTS games that are not watered down and simplified for gamers with the attention span of 5 minutes. I bet most new gamers who profess to like some of this awful mobile strategy games would not be able to cope with any of the above games.
