Every year we wait for the next iteration of our favourite football franchises and whether it is PES or FIFA, these games have gotten so realistic that you wonder what area the improvements will focus on. While FIFA has always turned its attention to authenticity and the glitz and glamour of football, for me at least, Pro Evolution Soccer has always been about the gameplay and this year, Konami takes that one step further than ever before, providing what is likely one of the best football games you’ll have played in years.

The world of soccer video games is dominated by two heavy hitters: FIFA and PES (Pro Evolution Soccer). These two game developers keep pushing each other to have better characterization, crisper graphics, and a stronger gameplay engine. As a result, the real winner is the gamer. PES 2018 Beta has finally kicked off and thanks to that we can see how the newest release in Pro Evolution Soccer series will look this year. Let’s compare it to previous game and check what kind of improvement we can expect.
Note: Both games are running on PS4 Pro with Boost Mode enabled.
Why is boost mode enabled? PES 17 had a Pro patch ages ago and am pretty sure the beta also has Pro features. But anyhow am loving the new passing system. Has been funny learning it while also watching the other player trying to get the hang of it.
