"One of the more disappointing pieces of news last week for PS4 owners was the announcement that Fallout 4 and Skyrim: Remastered weren’t going to get mod support on PS4."
Despite being verified for the Steam Deck, Fallout 4 has issues running on the OLED version of Valve's handheld device. Here's how it works.
Some PS Plus subscribers can now access the next-gen version of Fallout 4 after Bethesda addressed concerns on Thursday, but others have still been left in the cold.
This update on PC kills mods, they still didn't improve or fix the draw calls and if you have an RTX card the game still crashes unless you turn off debris.
So if you mod the game it now looks worse, plays worse, all of your saves are broken and the game breaking bugs are still present.
Yeah I've had friends rebuy the game because the ps plus didn't work and they used to own the last gen version sold off the physical after the PS plus pack included fallout when they got the ps5.
So overall I know ms has likely warned quote a bit from this error.
Steam is changing its refund policy, but you probably won’t be affected
Should have happened a long time ago. People wanting refunds after 50 hours in game.
Daily reminder that 'TheGamer' is a corporate-generated, anti-gamer, anti-consumer, clickbait web site. They are mostly A.I. generated articles that villainize gamers. They provide nothing positive and actively try to provoke and divide the community through extreme view points and politics. Do not give them any clicks.
Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?
I want Sony to have an statement about this and their take on Mod support. It is not that I care about Fallout 4, but future games I may like can be affected too
To me it seems that something just didn't work between the two in the end. If Sony was againts Mod support from the beginning, Bethesda wouldn't have bothered with it. The last time they reported having problems with mods on PS4 they said they were communicating with Sony to get it right.
Seems strange. Sony is no stranger to mod support since the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament featured mod support. What could be the issue here?
[Bethesda couldn’t do what they wanted and so they scrapped it altogether. There were probably ways to get them on PS4 but they might not have wanted to do extra work to make it possible for their PS4 fans.
All I know is that mod support for another game on PS4 clearly shows that Bethesda is to blame for this as well and that there was more to that story. ]
Exactly, it's not like Bethesda's developers did not developed mods for the PS4..they were there, and they even listed the problems..its just that instead of working further with Sony..they not only cut further development time , but just blamed Sony on dislike of Sony's restrictions instead of working to try to come to an agreement to get mods to run and be able to get them to run on the platform where both companies could be happy.
Sony did not promise or really had in any say about the companies decision to bring mods to the PS4..that was always Bethesda's choice..I'm sure that you would not have been working this long on them if Sony was not open for mods from the start..We are still working with Sony to get it done..
Another companies mods for a game they have also are bringing mods..Media Molecule : Dreams also has mods..yes it's a 1st party games, that still does not take away the fact there is infact mods were brought to that game for the PS4..
It's clear , Companies can infact bring mods to the PS4..Sony is open to it..they just do not Willy nilly refuse Mods with out a reason doing so.
No it is on Sony- Bethesda was very clear, they made it happen w Xbox and Sony has not spoke to the issue at all-
Not sure how you can conclude otherwise unless that is simply what you want to believe
Sony has a limit of 900mb, over that and it will need to go through QA. This is where Bethesda refused, and Sony wouldnt budge.
