So Sony’s live meeting has come and gone and I (Jay Shay, TGG), like plenty of other people, had the pleasure of watching it live. Even so, I think it´s safe to say that the PS4 Pro and slim console stole the show. So here´s my thoughts on the Playstation 2016 meeting event.
We have another announcement from the Little Nightmares universe as Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition was just announced for Nintendo Switch 2. It launches on October 10, 2025. According to today’s announcement, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition will run at 4K and 60 frames per second.
The legendary composer celebrates forty years of game composing with a new collection.
The cuts are expected to be announced next week.
Microsoft is also planning thousands of job cuts that will impact other parts of it businesses
MFs has been beating their chests over great quarterly results and big profits to shareholders while firing people by the thousands just like Sony.
I wonder if at the top of those rumored layoffs they´ll also cancel upcoming or unannounced games while shutting down more studios as well.
Hmm, no 4K Blu-Ray movie support :S
@Aenea
"We really do not know what the exact reasoning is for this by Sony."
Apple-tier greed?
@Aenea
"The Xbox One S does, not the Xbox One"
I missed the "S" letter :P Nevertheless, Sony is playing the win game into the hands of MS...And dear Sony fanboys, take it easy with the salt (down votes). I´m a Playstation owner myself, so chill.
@kraenk12
"We do..they want to push their streaming services and UHD BluRay support as well as demand is negligible at the moment..plus they went for a lower price first. It's possible there's going to be a later model with an upgraded drive but for the moment no one really needs it anyway.
400 for a three times more powerful, 4K gaming capable console vs 350 for a old and soon outdated console with 900p gaming and a 4K UHD BluRay drive.....you decide."
The price would be the most logic explanation behind the lack of native 4K Blu-Ray video support, yes, and I´m not against that. So I´m most likely going to buy the PS4 Pro version by the end of this year.
