They haven't really said how it will handle framerate, if getting to (or close to) 4K is unachievable. I am hoping they go the Rise of The Tomb Raider route, which will have a 4K mode, a mode that prioritises frame rate and one that's locked at 30, but maxes out the graphics.

if a game is gpu bound it will be a easy process to double the framerate with the pro being 2.3x more powerful

if its cpu bound, not so easy, its a wait and see if the higher clocked cpu can help in a meaningful way

I see games like battlefront getting an easy upgrade to 1080p/60

Okay, I was hoping for improvements with regards to frame-rates - particularly for Bloodborne - but if it's just HDR... what about new games? Will they get a fps boost, or is the Pro just for resolution?

Bloodborne is not getting a Remastered because we still on current generation and all current PS4 games are Forward compatible with PS4Neo with a free update to HDR.

They didn't say anything about 'framerate boosts' but only mentioned that framerates would be more stable. So, if a game is running at a 30fps goal, it will stay at that. If it wants to run at a higher frame rate, it's up to the publisher to make that happen, which would apparently require a digital update of the game.

Okay, that makes sense... I'm trying to decide whether or not to get Mass Effect on it, but I'm concerned that I won't be able to import my saves to 'Andromeda 2' - which I'll almost certainly be playing on a Scorpio.

I would, but the one I have is no longer in the market, and the new one of my model is actually a weaker one (which is odd) Otherwise I would totally recommend my LG. (also, I would think there are better ones out there right now for the same buck)

I've been looking, and most of the ones I've seen started off at around 55in, for me personally anything over 40in, for gaming becomes a burden as it would be too much screen for my eyes to cover.

Yes, my brother also feels the same way. He plays multiplayer games competatively and switched to a monitor. But on the other hand, non-shooters benefit from a wider tv (im talking the Uncharteds, Horizon, etc..) its a give and take.

If i was you i would get a 45 inch 4K as a compromise. That way you can enjoy movies/tv shows as well in 4K.

Edit: But just so you know 4K looks more impressive in bigger tvs.

The Last of Us will be native 4K too. So that should give us a good idea on what will and won't be native 4K capable.

Before people freak out. All of this is an FREE UPDATE PATCH. I hope Uncharted 4 has bonus visuals and fps boost when playing on a normal HD TV.
