Ripten Review: Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty

The fundamentals that make up a good Ratchet & Clank game are all present: from the whacked-out weapons, intense action sequences, gravity-defying platforming, and head scratching puzzles to the slick dialogue, charming story, and subtly perverse game title. At face value, these features would seem like a recipe for success; however, after two hours of playtime, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty is more of an appetizer than a full course meal.

The story is too old to be commented.

How does it add up to Warhawk?

This is pretty much the only franchise my GF plays, so how would you compare it a full game? I'm a bit turned off by the 3-4hr game play, no clank and repeated TOD weapons. But then again, its 1/4 of the price of a full game.

This game was amazing. the lightning effects alone were worth the price of admission, if you ask me. I love the eerie elements to some of it too. I can only hope they visit zombies or a haunted house like setting in the next R&C after them dealing with ghost pirates and such in this one. I'd love to see them do a Scooby doo like take on R&C, actually. It'd be great in an episodic nature.
