Why We Got, and Why We Love, Our Video Game Tattoos

Gamers explain why they've been inked with characters from video gaming history.

-Foxtrot3178d ago

You know I've seen a lot of FF13 tattoos by younger guys who's first FF game must have been that and it's such a sad sight

"Oh I have a FF tattoo you know"

"Seriously? Lets see"

*Pulls out something FF13 related"

"...of all the f***** FF games"

I mean if it's something that means anything to them, why does it matter? Maybe it's not necessarily tied to the game's quality. Maybe someone doesn't really like a game much, but loves the art/character design of something and think it would look good as a tattoo. Maybe there's some ulterior reason behind the tattoo. Perhaps they have memories tied to said game.

Maybe a family member that passed or significant other loved that game and they want that tattoo as a piece to remember them by.

Or maybe the person that inspired the tattoo hates the game and always trash talks it, leading to inside jokes between the two people about how bad the game is. That bad game can elicit a positive memory. There are so many reasons to get a tattoo that it's pretty narrow minded to judge someone for a certain video game tattoo they get because you have NO idea why they got it. There's a lot that goes on in people's lives you'll never know so ease up, man.

You're looking waaaaay to into it...probably to try and prove some counter argument or something...I don't know

Let me guess....FF13 fan right?

Though you may not see FF-13 & the character Lightning but there are folks that do,it doesn't matter if it's their first time playing or not...it's still a # 13 installment FF game.Different strokes for different folks, don't hate.

I never finished FF 13 and never played the rest of the series so I'm indifferent to it. Nice job constantly having some crap to say about everyone and everything on N4G like you're known for though!!!

Typical elitist gamer mentality. Can't accept others tastes being different than your own and thus have to look down on them. People like you are what's wrong with the gamer side of the industry.

ugh I'm blocked by chrome and I can't go on the site to see all of the other tats.
But the one I do see...how unfortunate! lol
From an art stand point, it's beautifully made...
