Infinite Undiscovery Review (GamingLifestyle.net)

BigPete7978 of XBoxLifeStyle writes:
"I have always been an RPG gamer at heart. I love a good story driven game, but it must also have good gameplay mechanics. Unlike most of today's gamers believe, graphics mean nothing if you don't have these other two. I almost didn't purchase Infinite Undiscovery based upon some of the things I was hearing, but in the end I am more than happy I did. It is a solid game that does nothing spectacular, but it is good and will draw you into the game itself. In this review it will show first what I liked, then what I disliked, and finally ending with whether to purchase/rent/or stay away from this title."

Xbox life style???????

lame ripp offs

BigPete79785702d ago

Lame rip offs? I also write for PlaystationLifestyle as well. We have decided to expand our boundaries to cover the major consoles of this generation. There is no rip off. You want proof talk to Sev.

Bombibomb5702d ago

Too bad this review won't be added to Metacritic. It's just a random fan site.

LinuxGuru5702d ago (Edited 5702d ago )

Xbox LifeStyle is not a rip off, it is an official branch of the newly-formed Gaming LifeStyle network, which PlayStation LifeStyle was the start of way back when it was sev1512.wordpress.com

mohib-uddin79865325702d ago

Ok thats fine

I just wanted to make it clear that you guys Sev are the ones who founded it
I didnt know but now you told me that u really arent ripp offs

All sites have to start somewhere.

cmm.com reporting world news.

sjaakiejj5702d ago

Wait.. What? A Blog? How the hell did this get approved ?

Panthers5702d ago

I like the Lyfestyle site. At least when they divulge inside info.

LinuxGuru5702d ago (Edited 5702d ago )

It's not a blog. It's a website with its own domain, running wordpress.org software. Please understand that although it's run with wordpress.org software, that does not make it a blog.

Once again, our sites are not blogs any longer, we have our own purchased domain names now, and have moved past the blog stage. We've outgrown that considerably.

We've expanded from just PlayStation to covering the Xbox side of things as well.

And repeating again just for clarity's sake, we are not a blog, we are now a small network of websites that are looking to grow.

And a little more clarification of things here:

We're not making any sort of revenue by making the transition to website status...we are still doing what we do for the love of it all.

=)

FantasyStar5702d ago (Edited 5702d ago )

That's what they all say...Then they get too deep, and the flamebait article begin for the sake of ad-revenue.

BigPete79785702d ago

How can we make ad revenue when we don't have ads?

FantasyStar5702d ago (Edited 5702d ago )

Just wait, it'll come soon enough. That's how all small sites start out. They operate on their own budget, then as they get bigger, they're going to need deeper pockets. It's a domino effect really. What's depressing is that some sites that fall prey to the ad-machine compromises their own integrity as a site for the sake of revenue.

Whether you guys will or not is questionable, but we'll see because my crystal ball can't foresee your future, only predict it.

Tri-Ace still uses their old game engine from 2008

The gaming community lately makes jokes about companies making games that look like "PS3" or "PS2" games. While this is such a nasty dig, there may be some truth to this in the case of tri-Ace.

Sad really. I used to love these guys but man...they just aren't what they used to be.

phallusitator323d ago

According to the this they are exactly what they used to be…

Noskypeno323d ago

The Cod games have been using an engine built in the mid 90s. Nothing wrong with using an old engine if they update it. Bioshock used UE2 and looked better than most UE3 games. Arkham knight used UE3 and looked better than most UE4 games.

Chriswynnetbh323d ago

I would give my left nut for an infinite undiscovery pc port

shinoff2183323d ago

Sh it does suck but I enjoyed star ocean 6 the most out of any game last year. I thought it was solid af start to finish. My favorite game that year.

I'd love for Sony to get ahold of them.

shinoff2183323d ago

To late to edit but I just wanted to add not every game that comes out needs to push a consoles boundaries. Star ocean 6 looked fairly good to me.

shammgod323d ago

Yeah. They definitely squeezed every drop out of that engine for SO6. It was a fun game

nitus10322d ago (Edited 322d ago )

I assume you are talking about "Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness" which I do have and am still playing. IMHO it is a good game but for some reason I still prefer "Star Ocean: The Last Hope" that I played on my PS3.

As a side note I have "Star Ocean: Till the End of Time" (PS2 version) which I played on my first gen PS3 but unfortunatly the Australian version of the PS3 did not have full backwards capability like the US version did. I got so far in the game and hit a bug (advancement to a new area between two mountains) that prevented further play.

slate911774d ago

What a good run. Assuming every og xbox, 360, and One title will be available on Scarlett. Will make next gen transition easy. Hats off!!

Bigman4k1774d ago (Edited 1774d ago )

AK911774d ago (Edited 1774d ago )

As long as they continue adding more BC once the Scarlett comes out.

badz1491774d ago

FGHFGHFGH1772d ago
