Sony announces TGS 2016 lineup

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has opened its official Tokyo Game Show 2016 website and announced its lineup for the show floor.

Seriously though, it's not even the gender ambiguity that bothers me, it's that it's just such a bland design. Something more akin to what you'd see from an NPC or maybe a secondary character who doesn't have much to do with the plot. Heck, even the NPC's we've seen in the trailer have more interesting design in some cases.

It dont bother me to much he looks feminine because he is a little boy pampered in some big castle. The trailer showed him being a 'wimp'.

I personally would love to see his design change throughout the game to show his growth in character. IMO this would be a killer part of the game. This may not be the case if so I do agree that design is quite meh for a lead.

Ni No Kuni 2 was announced last year, so I'd expect the game's still at least 1-2 years away from release based on the 4 years circle of development that most game seem to have these days.

Ni No Kuni 2 I believe had a release window in 2016 (dev estimate), so hopefully if all goes well it should be at least out before summer 17 though I

They had Pre E3 press hands on impressions... but it was never on the E3 show floor

It was. A few places said it was rough around the edges, though the core game was fine. A polished demo would do them some good.

Is it just me, or are some of the companies incorrect for the games being shown. Since when is Infinite Warfare a Sony interactive entertainment IP or Overwatch being made by Square Enix.

those games are published by Sony and Square Enix in Japan.

Yeah, Square and Sony Publish those games in Japan since Activision doesn't have a publishing arm in Japan.

Dragon Quest XI is also on 3DS and NX.

As for Ni No Kuni 2 well that game was revealed in the west first. So I don't think they care much in Japan.

Half the games that get released to console in Japan are already exclusive to PS or Nintendo. They get a lot more games than we do in fact. Just kind of the nature of Sony, and Nintendo's, market position over there. MS got a few at the start of the gen from 5pb....but that's about it.

Your comment seems to imply that Sony doesn't already have lots of "true exclusives" for the system, or they will be incapable of getting more. Right now though, most Japanese devs not aiming for the western market either go for PS or Nintendo, with some multi-plats between them.

PS4 NEO games are PS4 Standard games.

What I mean by that is that any PS4 game that you buy will be playable on NEO. However they will be improved for the more powerful system.
