Solid month! Journey is a must play for any PS gamer. In my opinion, it is hands down the top indie game from last gen. Lords of the fallen, another great game for the PS4.

They really stepped it up this month!

RpgSama2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

If every month is going to be like this, then I would gladly accept the price increase of the subscription.

SpaceRanger2793d ago

It should have been like this more often, or to some degree at least, before the price hike. But I agree with you 100%. Who knows what else may come with their event next week.

nX2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

Even though I completed both games already this is a step in the right direction. I'm really hoping for the Gravity Rush remaster before GR2 launches in December.

uptownsoul2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

@nX

As much as I'd love to see GR:Remastered as a PS+ game as well, if Sony did decide to give it away it would probably use that game as a free bonus for picking up GR2 within a certain amount of time.

That being said, I'd love for it to be a November game...So people can play it for a month leading in to the early Dec release of the sequel

Kingthrash3602793d ago

Ohhhhhhh boy.
I've beaten both too.....but solid month indeed

SniperControl2793d ago

I've completed Journey, but have not played LotF yet, hope us peeps in the UK get the same deal.

2793d ago
_-EDMIX-_2793d ago

I mean...its hard to say what "this" actually is.

More like what?

All games are subjective so its hard to get what you mean. Some might like this month, some might hate it.

RpgSama2793d ago

@_-EDMIX-_

By "this" I mean is one AAA game and one indie for Ps4, and still good games for Vita and Ps3, games are subjective and not every game will be of our liking, but a diverse lineup of "small" and "big" games is at least for me, the way to go.

MagicBeanz2793d ago

Probably wishful thinking but one can always hope.

I have got Lords of the fallen on physical copy it's a great game. Its like dark souls and it's quite difficult. If you havnt played it yet your in for a treat.

DARK_WOLF2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

Yeah man its a great game for sure. Good to see AAA games on ps+ for ps4.

Maybe its why they upd the price to match gold?

either way hopefully its like this from now on 👍

Hoffmann2793d ago

Lords of the Fallen, PS4
Journey, PS4, PS3
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, PS3
Datura, PS3
Badland, PS Vita, PS4, PS3
Amnesia: Memories, PS Vita

That is awesome.

DragonDDark2793d ago

Holy shit we are getting amnesia memories for the vita.

OB1Biker2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

I cant believe so many disagrees like the post above. Food for thoughts as to why people keep complaining. Its indeed a very good month theres no question about that.
I really enjoyed LOTF when it came up. Im sure Ill be having a great time playing Journey possibly with my kid if I believe all I heard.. PS3 and Vita is all good too.

2793d ago
_-EDMIX-_2793d ago

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

and

Datura are good pick ups for PS3.

You are on N4G.

If someone is happy about PS Plus.....= DOWNVOTES
If someone is happy about XB Gold....= DOWNVOTES

If someone is happy about anything in general and writes that he likes it...= DOWNVOTES

I guess that is that way on the most gaming sites..not just N4G. But since N4G uses its own comment system and not disqus, the downvotes are visible.

rainslacker2793d ago

@Hoffman

I'm down voting you because you seem unhappy. :)

S2Killinit2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

Its a tradition to try and bash the offerings. Lol

_-EDMIX-_2793d ago

I mad because I already own Journey lol. Wasn't going to buy Lords Of The Fallen, but free is free. Maybe its better it was a game I was never going to buy lol

rainslacker2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

Pretty solid offering. Not sure I'd call Lords of the Fallen a great game though. Decent enough though.:)

Actually kind of excited for Datura and Amnesia:Memories. The latter is one I was looking at a while ago to curb a digital novel itch I was having.

If they manage to keep up games like this though, then come Febuary I'll consider renewing...so I hope this isn't something just to tide over the upset surrounding the price hike.

Journey is a masterpiece that I highly recommend everyone at least try. I was tempted to buy lords of the fallen several times so I'm happy with this months games overall. Hopefully the price hike of playstation plus means months like this will start becoming the norm.

raWfodog2793d ago

I have both on my Amazon wishlist and flirted a few times since they are so cheap. Really the only thing holding me back was a current backlog of games yet to finish and not enough time to play as it is. I really couldn't justify spending more money on games that I probably wouldn't have time for at this point. Now I can just get them and not feel guilty about it :)

Goldby2792d ago

Yrust me. Journey is a gsme you put atthe front of your back log. Its a 2 hour game that is a fricken masterpiece

rainslacker2793d ago

Agreed. Hope it's not a temporary move to tide the upset over the price increase, or make it more appealing just going through the holidays where most people would be looking to renew or buy in.

This is like it used to be almost every month on the PS3, and it's why I was happy to see it expanded to PS4, and even marginalized the paid online paywall because I saw a lot of value in PS+.

If Sony manages to keep delivering though, then fair enough. If that's what it takes to get better content, then it's what it takes. Online paywall still sucks though.

Silly gameAr2793d ago

There are people that will be upset no matter what's on offer. Even though it's a solid month (I own the PS4 and PS3 games already) others will not and can not see it that way. Like S2Killinit said, it's a tradition to try and bash the offerings.

Neonridr2793d ago

I will definitely pick up Journey and maybe Badland.

Loktai2793d ago

it's free ,why maybe? just add them to your library. no need to even download them.

Ninver2793d ago

Not really free considering the fact we're paying to rent it

Perjoss2793d ago

"Not really free considering the fact we're paying to rent it"

Have to kind of agree with this, when you stop paying for ps plus those 'free' games are gone. Its still a great deal considering how many games you get to play during the year for the price you pay, but calling them free is not entirely accurate.

_-EDMIX-_2793d ago

I was about to say. Never skip a free game! Just add it to your library and don't download it until you want to play it.

On PS3 you have to at least start the download, but you can stop it, cancel etc and its added to games you own. You don't need to fully download it to have it added, but never skip it. You can't get those games back once you've skipped them the following month.

I do it, even with games I don't really care for only because I don't know what might change. For all I know a game I looked over might be really good and I might want to play it later on.

hongthay2793d ago

access the store online from a web browser. You can purchase them all without downloading anything. And there is no turning on separate consoles.

rainslacker2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

I add everything, even if I think I'm not ever going to play it. Even stupid avatars and themes I care nothing about. Never know what might come one day. Doesn't cost anything beyond the sub, and maybe cluttering up one's download list. Even recommended people get the games they don't have systems for....because you never know if you might have them one day, or if maybe one day BC or PSNow will make it possible to play them, or what may come.

@Ed

If you use their regular website and not the store front, then you can just add it to your cart, and it'll go into your library in the store. No need to download....plus it's a lot faster than surfing the PS3 PSN Store. Plus, I don't think the Vita, PSP, PS1, or PS3 titles show up on the PS4 for purchase.

@opinionated

Don't remember it being offered, but if it was, I probably added it. I played it on the PC because a friend had it. Felt i should if I was going to criticize it. I have no desire to play it again, even for free.

_-EDMIX-_2793d ago

Thank God! I've been doing that for months.

opinionated2793d ago

I do the same lol. The only game that I didn't add to my library since the ps4 launch was gone home. I will never want to play that game, even for free.

moegooner882793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

Much better lineup than last month. I have enjoyed plenty of the indie titles that have been offered but months like this one are always nice.

lxtrxi2793d ago

If you haven't played Journey yet (what the hell is wrong with you) then now is the perfect time to enjoy this masterpiece! Lords of the fallen isn't too bad either, I completed it when it came to GwG earlier this year and its not as bad as the "dark souls rip-off" people normally criticize it for

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN9h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

Barlos6h ago

Yeah, they're also jobless.

peppeaccardo1h ago

"MIcrosoft leaves Bethesda do what they know how to do best" ... close! Oh the irony ....
(Citation from a week old article)

PassNextquestion11h ago(Edited 11h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger9h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos11h ago(Edited 11h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto11h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos10h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

Yi-Long7h ago

Well, if your consoles and games are barely found in any stores any more, of course you're gonna struggle finding consumers ...

XiNatsuDragnel10h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator9h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog12h ago(Edited 11h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos12h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion11h ago(Edited 11h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well

jambola7h ago

cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
