The article is very well rounded, a very sound mind reviewed this game, and I agree with the score. Nice to know there are objective game reviewers out there

Now that scanning flying creatures is fixed its close to an 8. I wasted so much time trying to get that last flyer killed and scanned.

that's the thing NMS will become great overtime. just like minecraft. developers have already said they are planning on adding a lot of stuff. i don't think people realize that the team was 3 or 4 people and towards the end 14 developers finsihed NMS

yes the game has major issues when it comes to stor, gameplay and just the overall grind it requires. but these sort of things could be patches out

i hope that there are more varied planets
and every planet shouldn't be about just gathering and grinding please have verity
a little more focused story(not sure if this could be fixed through patches but could be through free dlc)
better space fighting
the ability to play alongside other players(there should be a way to run into others)

Thanks for the kind words. I wanted to take my time with the game and put out a fair honest review of it. I think some people rushed one out too fast honestly.

Now only if your site is accessible through mobile. Shitty popups taking me to Store and closing your site every time.

COMMENT-OF-THE-YEAR3162d ago

Agreed. This is pretty much how I feel about the game as well. Great review.

VivaChe3162d ago

Good review. There's a silent majority of us that think this is actually a decent game. Too bad the loudmouth mob has dominated the discussion.

TGGJustin3162d ago

Agreed and glad you liked the review.

spoilerjerk3162d ago

You spelled "minority" wrong.

QuarkZ3161d ago

The silent majority you're talking about reflects great on Steam stats. Players went from 200k to 9k yesterday. But yeah, keep thinking you are the majority.

phantomexe3162d ago

Thanks for taken your time reviewing it and keeping an open mind.

TGGJustin3162d ago

No problem. I like the game for what it is but I also mentioned things that should have been there as advertised as well as things that can be improved. It's not as bad as some people make it out to be.

LamerTamer3162d ago (Edited 3162d ago )

The thing that hit me first when playing it is that it is really different. The feeling and the way things work are not like anything I have played. I can see why many wouldn't like it and why others will. I think too many were expecting a space MMO or COD in space. My biggest disappointments were that so many things were cut like the real planetary physics and big creatures. Hopefully those will be added someday.

I had a creature as big as my 25 slot spacecraft hanging around after 1.07 update, so I assume they are working on it.

interesting thing is, that the switch 2 is still the inferior version, despite it being more powerful.
