How pioneers of the 3D platformer plan to breathe new life into the genre.
Hopefully would love to see a revival of 3D platformers
same. loved them on N64 and played as many as I could. Definitely playing this.
Hope it sparks interest for MS to make a proper Banjo Threeie game and even Ubisoft with a proper full on 3D Rayman game.
2D platformers are alive and well. DKC Tropical Freeze and Rayman Legends are probably the best games in the genre ever made, and I grew up in the 8 and 16 but era so I know the classics. But the only great 3D platformer left anymore is the 3D Mario games. Ratchet & Clank was ok but, that's a more gun focused, action platformer. We need this. I need this.
Look into FreezeMe and A Hat in Time.^_-
Rebirth of what? 3D platformers? Those never died!XD Now, 3D Collect-athon platformers in the same spirit as games like Banjo-Kazooie and Mario 64? THAT'S a whole different story, as we haven't really had many of those this gen, and Yooka-Laylee seems to be the best we've seen out of indies thus fan. (especially the music!) If anyone's looking for some holdover titles in the same vein as this, though, then I'd recommend FreezeMe, and to look forward to A Hat in Time. Also, side note: whoever's been stalking and downvoting every post I make regardless of content? **** you, coward. Show your face or quit riding my coat-tails. It's creepy and sad.
This is an OPEN 3d platformer, Ratchet isn't the same genere stop comparing Yooka with Crash, Ratchet or even Mario galaxy .._ is a total different genere. Dk 64, mario 64 and sunshine , and banjo were Open 3d platformers.
Some people dont understand, or all the media is blind. Answer to yourself this questions in low voice my dears... 1st Go and watch the first stage of Ratchet ps4. If you are in the center of the stage... Can you go all the way North, South, East and west? The stage start in point A and ends at point B? If you reply the Stage, Can you choose a totally different way to approach point B? Now Imagine a minimap in Galaxy, it shows you where you can walk, how it looks? Imagine the same map in Mario 64. ;P Savvy?
