Decision Driven Games - Part 1: Who's Playing Who?

Early video games were developed on an arcade model – complete a challenge or level, rinse and repeat until you run-out of time, life, credits, or quarters. The games were fast, allowing for very little thinking or decision time. Quick reflexes and responses were needed to play them for more than a few minutes without dying. If you were good or lucky enough, at game-end your name might show-up in the High-Score list.
