Nice 3D renders! What I'm wondering tho, does this work with normal glasses underneath? Something tells me it won't...

Great Question... One of the great things about new VR & AR systems today, is that you can have Incorporated actual Perscription glass right into the lenses or that in many VR setups the glasses can still be worn under the AR/VR HMD.

Today what has been done is you in the case of a design like this is the lenses get adoptive lense work to mimic your Perscription needed for glass myopia.

A great Example is Sony's glasses.

http://developer.sonymobile...

SED-E1's

You can get this unit directly;

Now see this disclaimer, how did they fix this: problem?

Note:
- It’s not possible to wear SmartEyeglass if you are already wearing other glasses.
- You may not be able to use this device if your interpupillary distance (the distance between the center of your pupils) are outside the range 54.5 mm (2 1/4 in) to 72.5 mm (2 7/8 in).

Well, there is Optics Partners where their glasses can get your lenses to match your Perscription!

Like So..

Through Rochester Optical, prescription lenses for SmartEyeglass are available as easy-to-mount inserts. The prescription lenses allow anyone who usually wears prescription glasses to get the benefits of augmented reality using SmartEyeglass. Get more details about Rochester Optical lens inserts for SmartEyeglass.

And it will cost more though, but it will work. So having glasses instead of bulkier HMD headsets are just the more expensive method right now , but cheaper options right now are just more practical in mass market that's not to say these is no higher cost methods that fix those problems needed, they are just more expensive..in Sonys cases those are about $900.00 AR glasses for the developer edition , not bad in what your getting with the glasses. but we are moving toward these with a cheaper offering in the long term future..but even being long term, is really not that long with a little time to wait. A few years not decades.

Joe, I know you mean well, but your posts are always crazy long, why?

I get what you mean tho, I think, these types of VR sets can add prescription glasses in it which would be neat!

I , tend to try to be more informative in my posts to atleast explain , why my answer is the way it is.., I know it can be a number of long winded responses, but I just would like to put my point across and be informative also.

It's a problem I have been dealing with all of my life due to my dyslexia.

Seems they are the first to get the design right! Looks pretty lightweightm, easy to wear. But I wonder what the glass is for, it's not like you're going to wear them when you're not in-game :P
