Hello Games revealed details of a launch day patch for the upcoming No Man’s Sky yesterday. This patch makes some massive, literally universe changing improvements to the game, completely changing the algorithm used to generate the worlds players will explore.
Undead Citadel, a medieval-era VR action game, arrives next week on PlayStation VR2.
SEGA has made a mistake on one of their PDF forms which has inadvertently disclosed full sales numbers of some of the company’s key software releases.
Don't forget they've put a lot of these on gamepass and ps plus so you can add that money to it. Good to see Sega going strong
Happy for sega ! I was expecting some kind of showing of their newer games at game fest but maybe they’re keeling it for TGS? Crazy taxi and jet set needs a trailer or something soon !!!
Release Phantasy Star 5, Shining force 4 or Skies of Arcadia 2 and look at the number after.
Playdead co-founder Dino Patti is allegedly being sued by his former studio and business partner.
Patti was threatened with a lawsuit earlier this year after he posted a now-deleted LinkedIn post that shared an "unauthorized" picture of co-founder Arnt Jensen and discussed some of Limbo's development. Patti said Jensen demanded a little over $73,000 in "suitable compensation and reimbursement," adding that he had "repeatedly" had such letters over the last nine years.
High speed internet exists and isn't going anywhere until the apocalypse. If you are a gamer who can't get these patches unfortunately you are going to be left behind. So you better make a good friend who has good internet or just wait until a GOTY edition comes out because this isn't going to change. These days even consoles have day one patches. When I got PS4 and XB1 on their launch days both required it. Fortunately Sony put it up the day before on their website because the night PS4 launched I couldn't even sign into my PSN account. The Xbox one downloaded no problem but the point is they both required it and that's the age we live in now. It's not going anywhere.
* Some people don't understand that devs could and would essentially work on games for 5-10 years if they could.
* At some point they need to recoup some money they've spent on development to you know....stay in business.
* That is why there are deadlines for releasing a game.....it's the point at which they can't afford to continue opporating otherwise it cuts into their profits too much.
* They have to release the game at some point, but it's a process....they don't just push a button.
* So while that process is unfolding( it takes a few weeks), they get going on trying to fix anything they couldn't have for the deadline.
* Then when we get the game, there is a fixed version that is better, waiting to download into the main game.
^ If you don't understand or comprehend this than You Are The Problem.
* People who understand the process and details about something rarely get bent out of shape when something that didn't expect happens.
* To complain about Day 1 patch update is dumb.
* If devs could have done this for NES/Sega Genesis/SNES/N64/PS1 games they would have done it too.
