Game isn't even out, how is it botched launch? Its like receiving an a raw copy of a movie that hasn't gone through post production and saying its a terrible movie because of how unpolished it is. Just wait till the damn thing releases.

Overload3238d ago

It's not released yet, but Business Insider UK just put up a pre review and they love it.

You'll see that I'm completely with you on that, however many large sites including Forbes (who called it a botched launch) have been taking the game to town when they clearly played an unfinished version which is the part of the point of the article.

DigitalRaptor3237d ago

There are actually very few early press impressions that are negative.

Some of the folks from the press are proving what I already knew about them, but most are positive, so what could have been a botched launch is turning out great so far. So close to having a copy in my hand, only a few hours now... surely.

this site gave it a 7.9, another site a 8.5. not too bad but not stellar either. we'll see. but one thing that is very interesting is your stance on this game compared to quantum break. this game you seem to defend till the cows come home and call anyone who gives it a bad review or preview ignorant yet you kept saying how quantum break wasn't very good WITHOUT playing it. you can't get any more ignorant than that.

wait, actually you can. an example is commenting on how the xbox has lost its appeal due to their games going to the pc yet ironically you and so many others who keep repeating this nonsense are buying this game on the ps4! it's so obvious what you guys are trying to do.

Truly amazing!

Draws inspiration clearly draws gameplay inspiration from Assassins Creed and action cinematics from Uncharted!

Powered by UE5!

Definitely on my radar!

Eastern devs are putting in that work this gen. The quality of their games have been top-notch across the board. Looking forward to seeing more of this game in action.

Other devs need to take notes and step their game up, figuratively and literally.

Lightning7713h ago

Looks very good why wasn't this at SGF?

Obscure_Observer11h ago

Probably because this trailer wasn´t ready yet.

I doubt the developers would miss the opportunity to reveal their games to millions of gamers on four major events like Summer Game Fest, Future Games Show, State of Play or Xbox Showcase on purpose.

This feels like 90% stolen from Uncharted and the guy is also falling or almost falling to often down. Nah this is to much show, something is strange here.

Sonyslave34h ago

It does look like it could be staged or the combat might be like hellblade, but i have hope the devs made naraka battle royal game.

Lightning771h ago

Ryse had staged area like combat. So did Hell Blade. Linear story based games do this. It's very cinematic like gameplay. The game did remind me of Ryse, how Ryse would of looked if they had a sequel of sorts.

This reminds me a bit of uncharted, ghost, Gow and AC.

Count me in.

The director of the original Silent Hill: “I look forward to seeing bold interpretations.”

Keiichiro Toyama—the creator and original director of the 1999 Silent Hill—shared his personal thoughts on the recently announced remake by Konami, reflecting on what the project means to him after more than two decades:
“I felt something similar when the game was adapted into a movie. It deeply moved me to see the names of the characters and locations I had created come to life visually, even though I wasn’t directly involved. That wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of the fans and the dedication of the developers who’ve kept the series alive.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the remake evolves this time. With the advanced technology we now have, I’m sure I’ll be surprised by how the game is reimagined. Since the original was built for the first PlayStation, there will naturally be challenges—like the camera and controls—but I’m eager to see bold and creative solutions to those elements.”

Haha Not only is bold and creatively not what the industry wants, it’s not what most people want.

They want to get scammed and pay twice for a thing they already own.

Nightcrawler8912h ago

Hope they use his vision in the game

Inverno12h ago

Was the SH2 remake even bold? Or was it more or less just a 1 to 1 over the shoulder remake?

Pedrof11h ago

I wouldn't hold my breath on "bold".
