Sector sat down with Glen Schofield—creator of Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol—during the Game Developers Session (GDS) in Prague to discuss the evolution of the game industry, the current challenges of AAA development, and why it's become so hard to get original ideas off the ground in today’s risk-averse environment.
It’s easy enough to say that, but why? It feels weird to me when developers say this but common sense would tell you everything about the idea itself should work.
The idea of the concept seems like a winner at whichever angle you look at it so why would publishers not greenlight it?
… it’s almost as if the majority of publishers are massively incompetent at their jobs. But there’s no surprise to anyone there.

Also, why are all the comparisons to PS4 and not Xbox One?
I notice it always ps4 or ps4 pro but never xbox one x which is more powetful then the ps4 pro.
sooo ...
what this is telling us, is that it comes down to the game and the devs optimization.
Damn, I feel bad. It must be super stressful. Hopefully he goes through with it though. One life to live, and opportunities created by talent are not often enough.
Please go with Sony
Talent alone is sometimes not enough as one also needs passion and will. It seems Yang Bing, after two years, is unwilling to commit to what would be a demanding and stressful position as the lead to a project that he created and developed alone for two years but now has on board a full team and funding. Perhaps he is wary of the demands that would be placed on him by any investor/studio that wants to back him. This is why, in my opinion, he should go with Sony which has a reputation of supporting its first and second party developers to an extent not seen by any other company. Yang Bing would have access to technologies used by studios like Santa Monica and Guerilla Games as well as Sony's marketing might and, of course, the ready market of PS4 gamers.
Whatever Yang Bing decides, good luck to him.
Avoid Ubisoft, EA, and Activision at all costs. Make it multiplatform or just to one, doesnt matter but definitely avoid those greedy, worthless sons of garbage. Ahh Konami as well, ugh.
I say he go where he can maintain ownership of his IP, a deal like that is the best option for him .
