HPP: As mentioned in my Obliteracers review, I love all things racing. This includes Jet Ski racing, although I have never partaken in it personally. My experiences with it have unfortunately been limited to the digital world. Games like Jet Moto and Wave Race 64 were a blast to play growing up, and I always welcome new entries to the genre (or sub-genre, if you will), especially if they are done well. Fortunately, game developer Vector Unit is very well versed in the world of watercraft racing games, being the creative minds behind titles such as Hydro Thunder Fury and Hydro Thunder Hurricane.

The quirky appeal of the much-loved but ultimately doomed Dreamcast came from the fact that it wasn’t really up for running FPS shooters with that admittedly absymal joypad, and EA didn’t bother showing up to fill it full of sports games. Instead, the console made its name on arcade ports and one of the best was the water-based racing gem, Hydro Thunder. It was a slick, impressive and fun racer that was full of brilliantly designed courses and nice, showy graphical touches, and managed to be enjoyable despite the fact that racing on water is a horrible idea for a game. https://www.mybkexperience....
