Pokemon Go Dev Removes Legendary Pokemon from Trainer Accounts Following Articuno Appearance

Niantic says the legendary Pokemon "got into a few accounts when they shouldn't have."

The story is too old to be commented.

See another reason why online only games sucks!, Devs can remove your Pokemons for no reason :D

Wow, that's bullshit! I'd be pissed! Preventing it from happening again would be the proper response, but taking it from people that already have it, even if it was a mistake, is pretty low. It's not like it was that strong anyway. It was only like 1500cp.

and it's not like they can level it up either. Well, maybe once buy thats not gonna do much

Its hard to say who is at fault here. Its not like the Articuno showed up and this person caught it fair and square.

This person claims that the devs gave it to them because of an issue with the game that they called about.

Of course the dev says that didn't happen and that people have been messing with the code to make pokemon appear.

Sounds like BS from the devs, but no one can really be sure. It wouldn't be the first time players have cheated a video game. It also wouldn't be the first time a dev lied...

I mean if they give it to them, surely they will have the email saying so?

CorndogBurglar1870d ago

Would they have an email though? How do we know the devs didn't just add it to their pokemon inventory after a phone conversation? No email needed.

They can clearly remove pokemon from people's accounts, so one would have to assume they would also be able to add pokemon to people's accounts.

"oh god this guy called again about issues with battery life... just give him a legendary to shut him up"

2 days later with boss. "You did what!?"

Good thing I don't care much for this fad game.
