Pretty close but still no cigar. I think most people will wait for the inevitable GTX 1080 Ti which should hopefully just nudge on the other side of [email protected] 60 fps. A bit disappointing the Titan X falls short. Maybe with some overclocking it can reach it.

I believe the GTX 1080Ti will be almost identical to the Titan X's performance. At least that was the case with the 980Ti

Just quite a bit cheaper. I think people are expecting it early next year so you would expect the price to reflect that.

Dabigsiebowski1872d ago

Yeah I'll just wait for Vega with the true next gen HBM2. Nvidia cards aren't future proof anyways and lose vast performance over time as to where AMD makes gains. And people say AMD drivers are bad... have fun with the broken mess gameworks is.

medman1872d ago

Nvidia's Volta architecture will also feature HBM2.

medman1872d ago (Edited 1872d ago )

I'm waiting for Nvidia Volta paired with a Intel cannonlake cpu.

Dabigsiebowski1871d ago

Well AMD will make money on Nvidia for using it since they are one of the 2 founders of the tech.

Questions is Now what to buy?? End of the year I'm going to buy Asus RoG PG27AQ Monitor and I'm wondering wchich graphics card get?? I got Gtx970 wchich is fine for almost all games in 1080res but if I want get as much as I can from this monitor I need to get new card and minimum is gtx1070 but what I can achieved with this card?? Or wait for next year and buy 1080ti and for at the moment stick witch 970 and try play in 2560x1440??? Any solutions??

ONESHOTV21872d ago

yeah i'm waiting for next year when the 1080ti comes out my EVGA 970 will keep playing until then i think you should do the same

RedDevils1872d ago (Edited 1872d ago )

Since you're planning to buy 1080ti, you might as well don't buy the ROG yet as you won't get the best out of it with 970 anyway, so wait for next year get it cheaper and get 1080ti as well.

There goes the new 4K nvidia card... 1200$ and still fails..
Let's see what AMD brings to the table.

Benchmarks are not reliable interms of real life performance, I'm sure with a few tweaks you could achieve 4k 60fps

Unspoken1872d ago

Sometimes a bunch of tweaks are needed to get 4K 60 fps.
