This Gorgeous Game Was Created by One Man in Two Years, Inspired by Final Fantasy XV

At times games inspire us to create. Some write stories, other draw beautiful art, and then there are some that create their own games, often with very interesting results.

Looks like a big budget game.
Damn impressive

bouzebbal3238d ago

I hope his efforts pay off. A game is more than just graphics but hats off for the graphical part

UltraNova3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

This dude is crazy... He made a FF clone by himself ? Damn he has some resolve and mad skills doesnt he?

I wish him the best of luck and that he manages to make his game as unigue as possible. We need more people like him and less corp formula bullshit.

nix3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

@Ultra

it's not only FF... this is FF + Ninja Gaiden + DMC.

Impressive stuff considering it's a one man project.

DragonbornZ3238d ago

Not just the graphics, the combat looks dope.
Looks as smooth as dmc

trooper_3238d ago

I think my jaw hit the floor when I saw that trailer.

News4Noobs-3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

So if one man created a game like this in 2 years (730 days) that one means that 50 mean man can create one like this in 14.6 days (730 ÷ 50 = 14.6). 🤔 interesting....

No, in this case math doesn't work I think... 🤐

But damn that was really awesome for just one man. Hope he gets hire by a big company to create some epic games.

Muzikguy3238d ago

I hope he does too, not by some company like SE though. They had the talent and still messed it up. I have little faith in FFXV anymore. This guy could probably do a great RPG or two. I just think a company like Square Enix would ruin the man instead of make him shine

Muzikguy3238d ago

Yeah that's crazy to think one man with a passion did this. Doesn't really say much for a whole team of talented developers and 10 years of work

Wow! If FFXV and DMC had a love child, this would be it. Looks incredible! Lets cross our fingers it makes its way to consoles. Id lve to play it!

Kyosuke_Sanada3239d ago

After reading his facebook comments, he said it may take another 2 years for it to be finished but I can wait.

Rimeskeem3238d ago

if this is the half way point this game will be absolutely mind boggling

TwoForce3238d ago

He got contacted by Sony and Epic Game. I think he really need more people to help.

RioKing3238d ago

I would say it'll take longer than 2 more years. From the creator himself:

Hello everyone, thanks a lot for supporting me so much, I’m really glad to see that people like it.

I have been working on it in full time for two years, and feed myself by doing freelance things, and actually my plan was to release the trailer as the end of full-time development and to find a full time job, then continue it in part-time with a really slow speed, maybe ten years or more.

My plan should disappoint you but by that way it can be less stressful, It’s kind of selfish, but just as Kazer said in the end scene, it’s just for saving myself.
I really haven’t expected that there wopuld be so many people liking it, which makes me hesitate to do as I planned. Actually, it’s a bit stressful right now.

This may disappoint you, but I can’t tell a lie that the game will come out in another 2 years.

Maybe there will be some opportunity in the future, allowing me to finish it within a team or in full-time. But right now I’m tired and want to rest.
Sorry for disappointing you guys, and thank you again for the encouragement.

There will be updates though.
Thank you again.

Kyosuke_Sanada3238d ago

That's a bit depressing but hopefully he either gain some income or find a good publisher to help with development. I do understand why he is taking his current route though because the trailer has given him huge shoes to fill.

-Gespenst-3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

The best art is made when there are no deadlines and no budget constraints. Those kinds of pressures make for rushed games, stories with loads of plotholes, and so on. Even if you never release it, make the most of the creative process.

EDIT: Woops, my bad, didn't realize you were quoting the guy.

ravinash3238d ago

It's a real labour of love.
it's nice that people have shown real interest in it, because it is really good and you can see the FF & DMC influences.
It would be a real shame if he starts to feel pressured by people to do what he really didn't want to do.
he's obviously talented, but at the end of the day, it's his life and he has to do what makes him happy.
He own the gaming community nothing.

NapalmSanctuary3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

@Gespenst

"The best art is made when there are no deadlines and no budget constraints."

That couldn't be further from the truth. Artists without constraint tend to chase every rabbit down every rabbit hole and you end up with a lot of fluff. Time constraints encourage focus and money constraints encourage innovation. Its creative interference from the suits that tends to screws things up.

REDGUM3238d ago

well done. this looks amazing. Im not a rich bloke so could'nt trow money your way to help out however I believe I have something justas important. I have a close friend who does sound design, scores, development etc. I'm by nop means saying your piece of art needs it but if you ever needed someone in that area I can share his contact details with you.

The very best of luck with it all. Keep up thw amazing work.

I prefer this route over pushing out a mess. Plus I have a lot of good games to play that have come out this year and will give me more time to work on the pile

italiangamer45d ago

Expected, the lack of marketing for a game coming out in 1 month was telling the story already.
No problem, more polish is always good.

Relientk7745d ago

That's fine with me. I'd rather wait for a good game over getting an unfinished or bad one.

Elda45d ago

A little disappointed, I wanted to play this while I'll be on my 3 1/2 month vacation from work. When it releases I'll be going back to work...lol.

I really dont care about 300+ fps in 4k, as long as its around 120-150fps with a decent imput lag im ok.

Yama92d ago

Agreed. When I see these numbers however, I’m usually relieved as that’s that it means we’ll get at a more native experience. FG always should be for this, obscene numbers or running insanely expensive tech like path tracing. It should never be a cheat to make an unoptimized mess touch 60, like Ronin on PC.

saint_seya92d ago

Yeah, same here, well probably those numbers are with a 5090, and i own a 5080 so the native numbers wont be like that, but i believe it should still be good.

Mike6977d ago

NVIDIA once more lie....this number are with FG x4 enable and that with a ton of input lag.Dlss 4 without activating FG does not give this kind of framerate. Its disgusting that NVIDIA lies and thinks people are stupid.
