Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "To say that Star Trek and video games have had a rough relationship would be an understatement. Sort of like how Kirk and the Klingons are both constantly at odds, the universe that brought us some of the most imaginative sci-fi ever has somehow rarely been able to successfully translate that to interactive media. That being said there are a few exceptions to this rule (of acquisition) though not all of these shine as bright as latinum but they are the best that the 23rd and 24th centuries have to offer."
The long-running, free-to-play Star Trek Online has expanded once more - and this time it's the new Both Worlds season that comes to Xbox and PlayStation.
Cryptic Studios appears to be the latest Embracer-owned company to be impacted by layoffs.
Fans are getting their Janeway fix with the latest update. Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of online games, and Cryptic Studios announced Captain Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager will make her Star Trek Online debut in Shadow’s Advance.
Was never really a big Voyager fan I did watch it they reused a lot of the same story arcs time travel, slip stream, the borg, thrown closer to home. Best aliens I like that were introduced in the series were the Hirogen would love to see the Klingons take them on in a war.
I liked klingon honor guard on pc, otherwise I'm not sure there are truly any great star trek games, theirs still potential for a great coop space exploration game, maybe people will enjoy the upcoming VR game, I'd still prefer a no mans sky approach, but instead of going solo piloting a small ship, have full control of a cruiser/enterprise type vessel with a full crew to manage and communicate with in realtime, like mass effect but more in depth.
