Signal Boost: Rise of the Tomb Raider Had a PS4 Release Date Long Ago [Satire]

In lieu of the recent and unsettling rumors of the pending release of Rise of the Tomb Raider on the PlayStation 4 being cancelled, there have been numerous articles coming to the surface with a well-meaning intention of quelling the rumors, but use the spotlight to “announce” the release date of last year’s Microsoft exclusive. In the event that anyone missed the original announcement, ladies and gentlemen, Rise of the Tomb Raider was given a release date for the PlayStation 4 quite some time ago. It’s not new information whatsoever, but let me take a moment to break this down for everyone.

'media outlets that do not specialize in video games' are also part of gaming news coverage unfortunately. When you see publishers release accolade trailers with quotes/reviews form tabloid papers and non gaming related media it's a bit sad.

Mind you gaming media are not any better these days and it would be interesting to have a look into how Shenmue 3 news were covered by supposed 'specialized' media that were feeding on anything negative about it like leeches to the point of presenting unverified if not misleading information as facts. That's just an example of how negativity seems to be the bread and butter on gaming sites with no regards for how verified/factual the news can be.

A release date would be a specific date for a region, not a vague comment of "Holiday 2016".
The Holiday period is like 3 months long, so all we've been given is a release window and then radio silence.
