Baden of WGB: "Oh, Furi, why couldn’t you have launched last week? If you had arrived earlier you would have easily made it onto my list of favorite games from the first half of 2016. Furi’s brilliance, you see, lies within its deceptive simplicity; nine bosses stand in your way, and to beat them you can slash, dodge, parry and fire a gun. Beyond that, you can charge up your slashes to stun an opponent, dodges and gun. There are no complex combos to learn, nor any upgrade system that allows access to flashier moves. New weapons are entirely absent, too. Nine fights, four moves. That’s it."
Out of hundreds of hype-inducing music, Furi absolutely destroys the competition with one of the best soundtracks in gaming.
I honestly love Doom's soundtrack as well, but Furi has a way of captivating me wayyyyy more with its music.
The boss fights, the art design and the soundtrack in Furi are amazing. It's one of my favourite games from last gen (has a PS5 version too). "Underrated" is thrown around a lot but this game is definitely underrated.
It’s the reason I bought the game. The game itself is good too. But the soundtrack is superb.
So is Hotline Miami’s.
Furi’s tale of The Stranger fighting his way out of a celestial prison is not simply one of escape, but one of an outsider with only the language of violence, learning humanity.
French Indie studio The Game Bakers launches the new Onnamusha DLC for Furi today. The intense boss rush game was downloaded by more than 3.5 million players since its launch.
After coming to and end with Returnal I'm looking to get back into this.
In Japan they want 100 Yen to upgrade (?) from PS4 to PS5 version. Has anyone here played the PS5 version?
Maybe I'm getting old and my reaction time are not what they used to be but I'm really struggling to get anywhere with this game.
I quite like this game, probably the best "straight to plus" game since Rocket League.
