last good one was the first one. No matter how much you may or may not hate xbox there is no denying the first one was revolutionary.the 360 was a pos had a few crazy things about it but anytime a company is ok with releasing a system they knew damn well couldn't handle the component inside but stuck with with the shell because we want to use this casing needs to be shown that's not ok by not purchasing said item i still cant believe when someone tells me i have owned more then 3 i have heard up to 12(3 of one system is the max i will accept as within reason i see it if you have family and really like the system you might buy 2 and at some point one of those or the one if only buying one might fail. also you might buy a collectors one and either keep or sell your old one hence why i chose 3 but honestly you should never have to be forced over a second one your first then it craps out gets replaced.) xbox 360's because of rrod . that said the kinect 2 despite being unpopular was a very cool add on and a major reason i picked up a xbox one loved it for a month being able to tell my xbox what to do and not have to touch a controller to do it made it a very easy win for being lazy but shortly after it all novelty wore out and the paint peeled away to reveal the system for what it was. A underwhelming system with some great games but very lacking in exclusives i bought almost every major exclusive that came out not always right away a few i waited for bugs to be fixed. I hated the install times and the load times on the xbox one (not saying the load times are better on ps4 but the install times are way faster and yes i know about disconnecting your xbox from wifi and fuck them for that even being a thing someone should ever have to do to increase install speeds). All that said i cant wait to buy a Scorpio it sounds like it might make for a super fun halo experience and sunset overdrive ruled but the neo will sell so much better with all the exclusives and is a far more important purchase for me then the Scorpio

If you mean power, it's possible. But we still have no actual confirmation about NEO specs until actual reveal as anything can happen (or maybe not) and we mostly know Scorpio being 6 TFLOPS.

Sales wise, not even a chance. PS4 is too dominant and PlayStation is a household name in all corners of the world. Xbox is not.

The other aspect is whether or not we will actually see games being fully developed for these new consoles only. Then, we can see substantial differences between NEO and Scorpio. But, that's up to whether Sony and even MS truly allow exclusive games on these consoles.

Except you dont know what the Neo is packing. I was watching some graphics card benchmark and something intresteting happened.
I dont remember too much, so correct me if Im wrong. I remember the rumor was a lil over 4tlops and I believe a 36cu, with the supposed up clock on same cpu. Ok ok...but then like I said I was watching benchmarks and noticed the rx480 has 36 cu and it doesn't come with less than 5tlops.. the next card in line had only 16cu. So I assumed that it maybe the equivalent of an rx480 in the Neo. My question would be can you bring down the tflops of a gpu? And thanks!

Edit: Now Im thinking the NEO and Scorpio might not be that far apart then we are assuming. Good day.

Pretty level headed conclusion there. I'm thinking the same. And yes lowering the operating frequency lowers the FLOP rating. So it would only take better cooling to match the main cards target, and a want for a higher tdp

My take...

1.PS4 will get awesome exclusives while the Neo will get awesome exclusives...

2.PS4 will get PSVR support while Neo.... will get PSVR support.....hmmmmmm

3. PS4 has a big social gaming community while Neo will have a big gaming social community.... Maybe I'm missing something....

4.PS4 will allow you to play online while the Neo will allow you to play online... Why are things looking so similar?.... Getting confused...

5.PS4 gets spiderman while the Neo gets.... Ummm....Spiderman...

Well the extra power is quite a difference :p I just want to know how developers will utilize the extra power for their games. Will they focus on higher resolution? higher frames? Or is textures and other effects within a game? That's the mystery.

Neo is very much a mystery, as is Scorpio. Can we stop approving articles based on rumored abilities?

At the very least, we know that Scorpio is expected to be more powerful than Neo and Neo is expected later this year.

We don't know enough about Neo to publish 5 known differences because there's only one known, and that's power.

PS4k will be twice as strong as the PS4 you say? Why don't you google the resolution difference between 1080 and 4K. After you do that realize the video card needs that much power too to support 4K gaming.

If it's only twice as strong the Xbox Scorpio will run over Neo in terms of raw power.

PS4 Neo is Sony's strategy to bridge the gap between the PS4 and PS5. It is why the neo is called PS4.5

It will help Sony and the industry transition to PS5 from the PS4 seamlessly when the time comes.

Sony learned the hard way with the transition from the PS2 to PS3 where they had to start from scratch.

With the Neo at I believe 4tf and perhaps about 30 million sold before the PS5 launch sometime in 2019. Sony would only need to double the Neo Power to get a more powerful console than scorpio but more importantly the transition for the industry will be much smoother because there will be 30 million PS4 neo, the same architecture and the power difference between the two is not as drastic as the X1 - Scorpio.

So come 2019 I believe Neo will be the base model and PS5 will be the delux model similar to the PS4 and PS Neo this gen.

PS4 is selling faster than the PS2. PS4 has been demoing VR. PS4 is already the most powerful console.

There is no other reason for Sony to release Neo other than it is a trojan horse for next gen with one foot in current gen and another into next gen to bridge between the PS4 and PS5 transition when it comes.
