Gaming Boulevard reviewed the Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympics and decided:
This game is definitely not the best, but it's what you expect from it: a Summer Olympic themed party game with Sonic and Mario. There are fun mini-games you keep playing and mini-games that are less fun. It is a fun casual game that everybody can enjoy especially if you play it with friends
Phil writes, "SuperPhillip Central regularly covers overlooked and underrated video games with its Most Overlooked series of game articles. It only makes sense for the SuperPhillip Central Best of 2016 Awards to dedicate a category to those overlooked and/or underrated games of the year that either flew under the radar or didn't get the credit that I arguably feel that they deserve. From Zelda and Wave Race-inspired games to Nintendo's own works, this list has a good amount of variety on it."
Sorry, Star Fox Zero isn't overlooked or underrated, it's just crap. The game would have been nice if it wasn't for the horrible controls.
Every couple of years, two of gaming's most iconic mascots compete in Olympic events. This fifth iteration of the series has Mario & Sonic landing in Rio so let's find out if the festivities are worth attending.
Phil writes, "SuperPhillip Central's Favorite VGMs is here to cap off your Monday evening right with a collection five fantastic video game tunes. With us being right in the middle of the Olympics, it only makes sense to have at least one VGM volume dedicated to the event. First, however, we kick things off with a battle theme from Fire Emblem Fates. THEN, we dive into the Olympics with Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Super Monkey Ball 2 delivers a chill tune, followed by Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth offering a dungeon theme. Finally, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX concludes this Olympic Gold edition of the Favorite VGMs."
