Watch Dogs 2: "There are no towers"

f you've ever played a Ubisoft open world game then you'll know the score. Assassin's Creed features towers to climb which unlock missions around you. Far Cry features towers which, again, unlock missions around you. And - guess what - Watch Dogs 1 features towers which unlock missions around you.

Watch Dogs 2, on the other hand? It's going to be a bit different.

WOW. An Open world Single Player Ubisoft game without Towers ?
How did they even know how to make games without it ?

They must be really confused, running in circles, banging heads against each other thinking about how to do a game without their uberlazy design pattern.

What I am afraid of though is how they are now going to address the gameplay pillar that the towers represented in Watch Dogs. Cause while I agree that towers/viewpoints used as a set way to unlock the map is extremely overplayed and lazy game design it represented an unique part of Watch Dogs gameplay. Namely the puzzle element. Sure they were not great, but figuring out how to get to the console was very different from almost every other mission in the game. And although repetitive and often not challenging enough, I still found the gameplay surrounding them enjoyable.

I actually kind of enjoyed the towers in the game. It was a nice puzzle mechanic to work on.

I did actually enjoy those camera puzzles of the towers. I hate the Far Cry ones and am so-so on the AC ones.
