Hardcore Gamer: The studio climbed into E3 2016 completely broken by its community. The developer that brought fans the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had seemingly ceased to be what it once was. Three years ago, Infinity Ward delivered what is arguably one of the lesser Call of Duty games, Call of Duty: Ghosts. The reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the second most disliked trailer of all time. For all intents and purposes, Infinity Ward had forgotten what made them the Call of Duty A-team.

It doesn't seem like any hype is really catching on with this game. Sales for this game could be at Cod4 levels or WaW levels, just before the series exploded in terms of mass sales. CoD4 sold really well, but it sold only a third of games like Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3. I know that for me personally, I'll be buying Gears of War 4, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 for sure. Too many big games out around the same time, so inevitably some games must suffer the consequences.

'Going back' would also mean they are not ripping people off. Which that is not the case here at all.
