The past three games from Netherrealm have had guest fighters, and Injustice 2 will more than likely follow suit. But how do they pick guest stars?

Give me clown boy for PS4 version

GigawattConduit3288d ago

Talion from Shadow of Mordor could be dope

psyduck3288d ago

You know who would be awesome in this? Bigby from The Wolf Among Us. Fables is a DC property, right? Totally doable! SOMEONE GET TELLTALE GAMES ON THE PHONE.

GigawattConduit3288d ago

"Remember THIS!" *claws out Flash's eyes*

Hold_It3287d ago

Ah, the more news I hear about this game the less interested I become. Casuals are really starting to undermine gaming now.

Hold_It3287d ago (Edited 3287d ago )

Yes, because of guests. When I play a game that has DC characters in it, I want to play a game with DC CHARACTERS in the game. Not Marvel characters, not non-dc characters. Guest characters just take away a slot from a character that could have made the cut, but couldn't. MK was already plagued with too many Horror movie characters. Those slots could have gone to Noob, Rain, Shang Tsung, Frost, Mavado, and many other characters that people actually wanted. Plus, Injustice is also a comic book fighting game, and is based upon the comic book series they started. You can't put Goku and Geralt, and Talon in The Wolf Among Us, so you can't put them in Injustice.

Non-fans want guest characters, that's what they're aimed at. If they're going to include guest characters, then it should be someone from a DC property like V from V for Vendetta, or Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, The Comedian, Sandman, or other characters like that.

Then again, I don't expect you to understand, because whenever I post on anything and you reply, it's always some kind of personal attack based reply, or some ill intended one.

TheBeguiler3287d ago (Edited 3287d ago )

Actually to be fair, DC is a Warner Brothers property so characters like Godzilla and such fit since they are owned by the company itself. Besides, does it really matter? Lol No one is forcing you to play them mate and it just makes the roster more interesting and dynamic. As much of a DC fan as I am, it's always cool to see a different gaming/movie/comic IP enter the fray.

Also, and I am sorry to burst your bubble, these games aren't designed for just hardcore audiences lol

KentBenMei3287d ago

Agreed 100%. He's got a stick up his back side lol.

"Yes, because of guests. When I play a game that has DC characters in it, I want to play a game with DC CHARACTERS in the game. Not Marvel characters, not non-dc characters. Guest characters just take away a slot from a character that could have made the cut, but couldn't."

Then play as one of the DC character already in the game. Too bad you can't force every slot into being what YOU want, my poor angel but not everything is about YOU. There's plenty of toys for you to play with as-is, you don't need to throw a fit. Learn to share, sweetheart.

"MK was already plagued with too many Horror movie characters. Those slots could have gone to Noob, Rain, Shang Tsung, Frost, Mavado, and many other characters that people actually wanted."

Most, if not all, of the horror movie characters were DLC, were they not? You had your full game of DC characters and they added some fun stuff on top that you didn't need, stuff people wanted. Why is that a problem? If I order a hamburger for $5 and someone else orders a CHEESEburger for $6, why should I care? I have my hamburger and I was content until I saw someone else add cheese to theirs. I apparently need to discover the world does not cater exclusively to my desires and wants, that other people exist. People who like cheese when I don't, cheese which doesn't affect my burger.

"Plus, Injustice is also a comic book fighting game, and is based upon the comic book series they started. You can't put Goku and Geralt, and Talon in The Wolf Among Us, so you can't put them in Injustice. "

Why not? It's DLC. It doesn't affect you unless you allow it to. Don't buy it or don't use it. It won't affect the story of the comicbook and it won't affect the story of the video game. Why are you saying they CAN'T be in?

Plus most DC fans would love to be able to lay the smackdown on Goku with Superman (even though Goku would whoop his ass in a real story).

"Non-fans want guest characters, that's what they're aimed at. If they're going to include guest characters, then it should be someone from a DC property like V from V for Vendetta, or Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, The Comedian, Sandman, or other characters like that. "

I'm a fan, so why do I want guest characters? Does that somehow invalidate me as a fan? You're speaking for everyone when you should only be speaking for yourself. This isn't like Final Fantasy XV where the entire series was ruined for non-fans to enjoy it, this is merely some DLC we're talking about here which does nothing to affect anyone except those who like it.

"Then again, I don't expect you to understand, because whenever I post on anything and you reply, it's always some kind of personal attack based reply, or some ill intended one."

I'm sorry babe, I didn't know your feelings were so tender and delicate. I'll play nicely from now on while you bark about being a true fan, and deem others to be casuals. Lol, the irony is THICK with this one...

S-Word3287d ago

This is a big reason why I like SFV. It's the only true fighting game this gen without guest characters.

GigawattConduit3287d ago

And guest characters are bad..why?

KentBenMei3287d ago

Because he's a big baby who takes his hobby to seriously despite not needing to pick the guests.

KentBenMei3287d ago

DBZ's Goku is a MUST.

Goku VS Superman would be legendary.

Great month, looking forward to Hot Wheels, I really love some good old arcade racing

darthv72997d ago

Heck yeah... love me some hot wheels

CobraKai997d ago

It’s fantastic. I paid full price and it’s worth it

LG_Fox_Brazil997d ago

Of course, these subscriptions cost money, you know?

MrVux000996d ago

Something inherently wrong with that?

Crows90996d ago (Edited 996d ago )

Yeah. Ps plus gives you value for your money. Unlike a different subscription that just takes your money. Hence why Sony where the first at every turn to give what players want or appear to be interested in. Free monthly games...check. subscription service with games ...check. And as always Microsoft goes in to do the same but constantly fails at giving good value. Games with gold has sucked the majority of it's existence. Gamepass is more expensive than ps plus extra and it doesn't give you online or monthly games. Ultimate is the most expensive service and yet it has less high rated games on its service than ps extra.

So yes. We should always judge these services for the value they give.

Mobis-New-Nest997d ago

Hopefully they have God of War Ragnarok, Modern Warfare 2 Remake and Last of Us Remake for December 2022. This selection is down right depressing 😞

FinalFantasyFanatic996d ago

Yeah, nah, they're not going to give us Ragnarok when it's practically just come out, they know they can still make alot of money off that one for another 6 or so months, probably the same with the Last of Us Remake.

Crows90996d ago (Edited 996d ago )

Oh so you want all of the games for pennies. You think that would help the devs much? Gaming isn't a charity business.

another good line-up. Hot Wheels looks interesting. Never played it.
Still hooked in Need for Speed Heat (this month's PS Plus free game)

darthv72997d ago

This just reminded me to nab NFS before it was yanked. Thanks for that.

lucian229997d ago

Looks like another good month. Really was happy with gran blue fantasy last in the current month.

MIDGETonSTILTS17997d ago

I’m so glad I didn’t buy this on sale, albeit now I have to get the dlc

CobraKai997d ago (Edited 997d ago )

I didn’t know Superhot was a non-vr game too.

Mr Logic997d ago

For those that read this, keep in mind that Superhot was a flat game that was later made into VR. It wasn't a VR game that was ported for more sales. Both are worth playing as the levels and scenarios are different in both versions.

The article states Tekken 7 might be the best fighter currently available on Xbox, but leaves out important information that it never takes advantage of the Xbox hardware. It never got any kind of patch/boost/upgrade for the more powerful Xbox consoles, meaning it still runs at 720p I believe, resulting in a very blurry look.

Truly wish more devs would respect their products and customers enough to address issues such as these.
