The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds E3 booth was majestic.
Most open-world titles that launched after The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s release haven't been able to up the ante.

but i agree no open world game released after zelda nails the feeling of exploration like botw
Botw nails the exploration until you find a recycled shrine and are rewarded with sword that will break in 1 min of use depending on what you are facing.
Fallout 3 and new vegas and the elder scrolls games have the best combination of exploration and reward that I have experienced.
This. It's not the holy grail of gaming some are making it out to be. It has flaws.
Yeah it’s really not. Nice to actually find other people that don’t suck this games dick.
I don’t hate it though, it was a good game, cute. But I do hate everyone saying it’s the best game of all time. It really isn’t. The combat is awful, the graphics are mediocre and the story is non-existent.
I think The Witcher 3 is light years ahead of this game in every conceivable metric.
those are great games but they are all bug ridden messes with poor gameplay mechanics.
i personally play good games to enjoy the experience of playing a good game. i dont play games to horde rewards.
@bug ridden messes, honestly I put hundreds of hours into Bethesda games and rarely had any game breaking bugs. But that's my experience.
Have you ever even played BotW? Game runs like trash (constantly hitting sub 30 fps) and it has plenty of poor gameplay mechanics. Crafting that becomes irrelevant after you get the armor for that region, terrible weapon durability system, exploration that only rewards you with shrines/korok seeds... I'm no die hard for Bethesda games but those games are leagues ahead of BotW in terms of depth of rpg mechanics and exploration.
Other open world games like the Witcher are so different. You have to find a place to cook food to heal in Zelda, and in the Witcher you can swim and dive REALLY REALLY deep and explore deep ocean caves. A significant portion of the Witcher is underground dungeon crawling and I don't remember going underground too much in BoTW (shrines don't count.) In Zelda you can fly basically. My point is they're super different games so saying one's better than the other is inappropriate.
botw is about exploration and tw3 is about narrative and lore... two different focuses both great at what they do.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s teaser site is now open. Access the North American page here and the European site here. Both are fairly similar. It’s going to be awhile before the full site is open.
I think so and I'm not just saying that as a huge Zelda fan. Nintendo holds the Zelda series as their most treasured franchise and they're pulling out all the stops to make this one of the greatest games they've ever made. The fact that they would go to so much trouble to create a booth like that shows how confident they are that this is an amazing game. From the small taste they gave in the demo it's clear that there are many more gameplay mechanics they're keeping secret, saving the best for last.
Prolonged interest in it throughout the show, not to mention in social media, seems to indicate that it was.
It was literally the only booth in the whole show that gamers were STAMPEDING TOWARDS on the final day of E3.
That's pretty telling of how well it did.XD
