Phil Spencer at E3 2016 stated we are moving beyond generations in console gaming; is this the last generation of consoles?
Today, Epic Games announced another game within its popular Fortnite metaverse, Lego Fortnite Expeditions.
Part of the fun of Disney Dreamlight Valley is its crossover character interactions, and in this game's case, more would certainly be better.
"First-person roguelikes like Gunfire Reborn and Roboquest can be quite fun when done well. Another such game is MythForce, which comes from Beamdog, the developer that brought Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 to modern platforms (while mostly ditching the co-op). MythForce features cartoon-like visuals and a fantasy theme, making it quite different from most of its peers. It will soon reach its "final form" via the upcoming Version 1.2 update," says Co-Optimus.
"Speaking on the concerns of fans that we may be shifting to mid-generation console refreshes, Andrew House confirmed that Sony is not moving from traditional console lifecycle. “I’m certainly not making that statement”, he added."

Just because they said they are building a monster, does not equate the last console. People are always trying to predict. 90% wrong
Both execs have already said that console upgrades aren't going to be regular.
Let's wait and see what happens.
Nope just introduction of mid? (3 years into a supposed 8-10 year console cycle) generation reinvigoration/reinvention/rev ision. But like Nintendo have always done with their handhelds and all consoles have ways had a remodel or slim (master system 2, psOne, Wii mini 360 slim etc) now instead of being purely released as they are cheaper to manufacture and normally lower cost for buyers and smaller now they will have actual upgraded aspects rather than a completely new infrastructure) just revised tweaked and upgraded a little here and there.
