Didn't show much, it's been like 5 years... There has obviously been MAJOR internal development struggles with this game. Likely over the direction the series should take.

Bioware made 1. Bioware made 2, where it was boughten out half way through the development. Bioware made 3, when it was fully published. 2 is the best Mass Effect, lets hope they can turn the massive money crank back half way, opt out of that call of duty crap and do a real RPG.

_-EDMIX-_3294d ago

Well they have the hardware and the format now to actually make a open world Mass Effect.

Of course its going to be harder, they have to make sooooo many different features now based on this move.

jznrpg3293d ago (Edited 3293d ago )

Twoo was the better game but I like the gameplay of one better

Errorist763294d ago

As we know from DAI a huge world means nothing if it feels empty and is filled with boring quests.

_-EDMIX-_3294d ago

Way better then just a linear tunnel of loading screens bud. Mind you, if you can fast travel, what do you care? lol

jessionpc3294d ago

Yea I agree, 1 of the best parts of ME1 was going to all the planets and exploring for tags, and reading up on the, "what happened",bits and pieces. Those are the things that made the game WONDEROUS.

I hope we get more of that in ME4. I hate it when lore is just thrown in your face like the universe revolves around you. Having to put some effort in to dig, and it NOT being a linear quest is so refreshing.

Chaosdreams3294d ago

Oh more words? Sorry, you had the opportunity to show actual gameplay and decided not to.

So I don't care how large the world is or how amazing it's going to be. As far as I'm concerned, this title doesn't exist as of right now. When you show something, then I'll listen to all the PR words.

freshslicepizza3294d ago

yet you are hyped over hideo kojima's game which showed us really nothing, you make a lot of sense.

this game will be huge and it does indeed look awesome and they have shown game footage of it.

Chaosdreams3294d ago

Uh, when did I refer to Kojima as an example of what/how do go about revealing a game? And if we're going to be specific. Kojima revealed his game, he hasn't been going on about how awesome and superb it is, for over a year without showing anything. He showed us that he's in fact, back.

I enjoyed Kojima's reveal and I smiled at what the possibilities could hold for its actual gameplay, but I didn't state, anywhere, that that's how a reveal is done. Even though its an initial reveal and Mass Effect has had more than one now.

So you make a lot of sense.

you moldy bread.

jessionpc3294d ago

Don't get your hopes up moldy, the cute waifu asari is working her smile magic voodoo on you.

They COULD fuck this up... I just hope to god they don't... Since I HATED Witcher 3, and DA:I was a glorified ps3 game upscaled to ps4, I haven't had a huge rpg in... Well... a long time... :'(

freshslicepizza3294d ago

so in other words kojima's game also doesn't exist, gotcha!

Chaosdreams3294d ago

Uh-huh. Zero gameplay so as of now it's simply a title with some footage.

But don't forget. Kojima only just announced his game. He hasn't been harping about how awesome it is for over a year ;)

freshslicepizza3294d ago

"He hasn't been harping about how awesome it is for over a year ;) "

why bother when he has you guys telling him how awesome he is and how awesome his game will be for him

aPerson3292d ago

Mass Effect: Andromeda was officially announced over a year ago and had been teased and talked about for years before that. It's due out in several months and we have yet to see any gameplay. This was its final E3 appearance and we barely got a trailer.

Kojima's Death Stranding has only been in development for a few months and isn't due out any time soon. Last December, when he formed his new studio, they only had four staff to start with. The game is years away.

Apples and oranges...

jznrpg3293d ago

I hope its doing ok, haven't seen much in all these years, hopefully it's more like Mass Effect 1 & 2 put together leaning towards one

Playdead co-founder slammed with lawsuit as bitter row with co-founder escalates

Playdead co-founder Dino Patti is allegedly being sued by his former studio and business partner.
Patti was threatened with a lawsuit earlier this year after he posted a now-deleted LinkedIn post that shared an "unauthorized" picture of co-founder Arnt Jensen and discussed some of Limbo's development. Patti said Jensen demanded a little over $73,000 in "suitable compensation and reimbursement," adding that he had "repeatedly" had such letters over the last nine years.

I love this controller. Feels so nice in the hand. Plus the battery lasts for days, it's crazy.

peppeaccardo2d ago

$100 ?????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????

1nsomniac2d ago

Yea the pricing for Nintendo peripherals is a bigger joke than the game prices. What the hell were they thinking!

peppeaccardo2d ago

i mean for a piece of slightly redesigned plastic with the same take of the last few years this has written GREED all over it ! Shame on Nintendo.

OMNlPOTENT2d ago

It's $85. The standard Dualsense is $75. The Dualsense Edge (Playstation Pro controller) is $200. The Xbox Elite (Xbox Pro controller) is also $200. How exactly is $85 so drastically insane compared to those prices?

Neonridr2d ago

the battery lasts like 10 times as long as a dualsense though.

Stevonidas1d 20h ago

Not true; more like 20.

You may commence with your butthurt, ponies.

fsfsxii1d 18h ago

It doesn't have analogue tho, sooo....

Tacoboto1d 18h ago

$85 USD
or $75 at CostCo (same standard price as a DualSense)

Even at $85, you're getting 3-4x the battery life of a DualSense, and it is (by a HUGE margin) the cheapest first-party console controller with Back Paddles.

Vits2d ago

The thing is, over the past decade, third-party controllers have really stepped up. You can often get better quality, more durability, and stronger performance for half the price of first-party options. Meanwhile, controllers from Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have become increasingly mediocre, expensive, fragile, and not particularly impressive across the board. What makes this especially noticeable with Nintendo is that they’re surprisingly open to third-party hardware. That openness ends up highlighting just how much better the alternatives are.

Vits2d ago

Pretty much most things by half a dozen of chinese manufactures. Like, 8bitdo, Gamesir, Machenike, Gulikit, Flydigi, Manba, EasySMX, etc.

The exception would be really low tier stuff by those companies... those wouldn't be better, they would be about the same quality. But more durable.

Themba762d ago

Best controller I’ve ever used I even like more than my dual sense edge

UltimateOwnage2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Having used Dual Sense, Pro Controller 1, and 8BitDo Ultimate extensively, I am pretty much in love with Pro Controller 2. The easy reassignment on the grip buttons is such a big plus, but the soft edge joysticks are the best feeling sticks of any controller I’ve ever used. It’s really an awesome controller. The HD Rumble 2 also finally has some thud and the headphone jack is great with a pair of good phones. It’s worth the slight price increase IMO.

Profchaos1d 23h ago

The pro controller 2 for me has the best weight and size it fits the hand perfect like the duelshock 4 did imo

I actually dislike the duelsense controller because of its size but the features are amazing on it.

Still as for the pro 2 no analog triggers is surprisingly something I dont actually miss

PRIMORDUS2d ago

I have the original pro controller and TBH, I don't use it as much. I'm mostly using the Switch in handheld mode with the Hori Split Pad Compact Controller. I also never use the back buttons to program anything so I will not be buying this one here, so that will be $85.00 in my pocket 😂

Yoshida claims PS believes Xbox is their only competitor, truth is they don’t have one any more

Former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida claims PlayStation still believes Xbox is their only true competitor, not Nintendo.

True, they have pretty different audiences..and some People just have both at home or a PS and a PC that emulates more or less everything from Nintendo.

Knightofelemia2d ago

Xbox hasn't been a competitor since the XB360. Last generation and this generation Sony has been running circles around Xbox. As for Sony vs Nintendo Sony runs circles yes but I don't really see Nintendo as competition. Nintendo does their own thing and it works.

Lightning772d ago

Details are important. Console sales yes. Overall games Xbox seems to be doing fairly well in that department.

LoveSpuds2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

MS were doing so well that they had to start selling their games on their main competitors system which in turn results in around 30% of each sale going to Sony as the platform holder.

I do think tjat MS' fortunes will improve now that they are actually selling games rather than giving them away for pennies on the dollar.

Something that occurs to me is that the more success MS published games have elsewhere, the more stark it will become that selling games is much more profitable than renting them. If that becomes highly noticable, I wonder what the shareholders (who ultimately run the show) will make of a service which has stagnated for years?

crazyCoconuts2d ago

PlayStation doesn't compete with third party games, they compete on consoles. They profit from third party games. If you're not comparing consoles there's no point in comparing.

drivxr2d ago

Console wars are over.

Eventually, everyone else will catch up to this fact.

attilayavuzer2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

I think it's all PS fans have left at this point. Console wars were always a competition for fourth place behind Nintendo, PC and mobile. If Xbox evaporates into a hybrid virtual platform, then PS will be perennially left in last place.

Christopher2d ago

Strange, I recall all those FCC documents and witness testimonies saying the exact opposite... Guess Microsoft doesn't know what it's talking about?

PanicMechanic2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Great analysis. Just joking.

Pretending like companies give a f about where they “rank” against each other is just super retarded. This isn’t the World Cup.

Tell me, how does “PC” compete against a brand like PlayStation? It just doesn’t make sense at all. What you just said, is complete and utter nonsense

BlaqMagiq11d 23h ago

I don't think PS cares about being in this so-called "last place" you came up with when they're making profits hand over fist.

microsoft wanted to crush sony into dust and they had the money to do it, but with such weak leadership it was always going to fail

Reaper22_2d ago

Had the money? They still have the money but the industry has changed since xbox 360. Microsoft is the number one publisher in gaming. I'd hardly call that failing.

IRetrouk2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

The industry hasn't changed though, just ms, Microsoft was the no1 publisher for a month in december 2024, the actual no1 for fy2024 was tencent if game sales are all that's being counted.

Profchaos2d ago

Money doesn't mean you'll be successful large corporations have entered and failed before like Nec
