"It was a rare sunny day in Seattle and Phil Spencer seemed very pleased. itting across from me in a meeting room at Microsoft’s sprawling Redmond campus, the head of Xbox smiled as he talked, mixing serious discussion about the future of his business with jokes about how his employees dress. (He’s not a fan of cargo shorts in the office.)"
To those who claim Tanlorin doesn't fit into the world of The Elder Scrolls, narrative director Bill Slavicsek says, "They're wrong."
Call of Duty’s development process will stay the same under Microsoft’s ownership, with no planned changes to its structure.
Now EA's following suit as well in order to compete with this CoD of a juggernaut sort of head 2 head ...
i.e employing 4+ studios for the next Battlefield game.
DICE for multiplayer, Criterion Games for single player/MP, Motive for single player, Ripple Effect for a "new experience".
Thats... a lot of teams. That's why it's so hard to compete with COD. It's also why PlayStation is so vital to Xbox now. That's a lot of people who need to be paid.
15 studios is A LOT. That’s honestly insane. I thought 3 or 4 was kind of crazy but I suppose it took 3 years for 4 or 5 of studios to make the last one and if they’re coming out yearly still then maybe it’s still just 5 studios per release. I’d imagine 15 studios managing one single game would be far too complicated with way too many cooks.
Could be a good opportunity maybe for EA and SIE to start a collaboration with Battlefield.
GB: "We already had our first attempt at this by adding some improvements to Dying Light 2 Stay Human but for Dying Light: The Beast we definitely want to take it much, much further," says franchise director Tymon Smektala.
"According to Spencer, the improvement between Scorpio and the current Xbox One will be immediately noticeable. "I actually think the upgrade to Scorpio in terms of visual fidelity will feel as dramatic of a change as we’re used to seeing in new generations," he said."
This is pretty much the Xbox 2, they just won't market it as such.
Hue hue hue.
You want a PC? Crazy idea! Get a PC!
I keep hearing people say "Get a PC." These people forget that a majority of gamers are kids and adults who haven't the slightest clue about PC hardware.
Matter of fact, I urge gamers on N4G to do a test. Ask someone you know who games what a GTX 970 is. Their best guess will probably be a car. It can't be anybody that frequents N4G or other gaming websites on a daily basis. But a casual.
