Hmm... I don't know how I feel about this, because I loved the first one. But I always felt like it was a MGS FPS/TPS knock off. Even how the guy talked was so "Snake Like" However, when you got in a gun fight on the hardest difficulty you knew that you were dead. Because the game was more stealth based not run and gun. Which I liked and disliked because sometimes you don't want to sneak, but the game had like a 0 tolerance when it came to run and gun hahaha. I loved it though and the ending of the second one was so epic. I only played through it once. I'm not sure if it had multiple endings, but I know my ending was epic. Great game, I will try this out for sure. (I tried to speak without spoiling for those looking to buy into the series to learn more about this game).

As long as theirs a choice to play stealthy I'm good, if improving the shooting mechanics makes it more a shooter because of smoother and more responsive gameplay its still beneficial to how you choose to play.
