Amazon has opened preorders for the upcoming Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.
$50 LMAO. That's ****ing ridiculous. **** you SE and your moronic pricing.
How is that moronic? I missed it on ps2 and it seems more than fair to me.
Did you see the pricing on Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy and Wild Arms 3? All of them are $15 each. I'm expecting a similar pricing due to the fact that they all from the same generation of games. All of them have the same amount of "enhancement" or HD treatment, trophy support and other features. Maybe, If they price this for $20 I can understand due to it's physical release, but for $50? Hell no.
Those aren't remasters though...nor are they physical releases. There is a lot of work that goes into a remaster...not to mention, this version has a lot of translation changes because it never released outside of Japan.
I'd prefer the $11-15 for a PS4 emulated version.
I never finished it on the PS2, so I am quite excited from this game getting a remaster. So with me having a job and I find that it is enough value for me to invest $50 into playing this game with all the enhancements, then that is not moronic pricing at all.
i have it pre-ordered. Came to 42 dollars and some change with amazon prime. I never got to play this game. I owned a dreamcast instead of a ps2 growing up. So I consider it worth it to pay the money for.
I absolutely love this game! You have to ensure you don't have a mindset of your average JRPG in terms of battle system when going into it, and like a story that revolves around a "world" plot rather than character plot, but I loved everything about it. I'm pumped to see we get the expanded version, but I'm bummed I don't get to play it on my Vita. Would buy that in a heartbeat! But I certainly won't complain about a PC/PS4 version of the extended edition. I'm a bit surprised that a single game is going for $50, I'd have expected $40. The content of the game is certainly worth it, but it doesn't seem to fit industry pricing. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it even half as much as I did. Tough call, but I think it's my favorite entry of the series.
Dude it's worth $50.
A little pricey but the price will drop after a few weeks / months. I'll pick it up once it's around the $30 range.
50?! Gtfo It's ok, I'll wait until it's like 15 bucks or free. Side note: I always get a belly laugh when I read "I never got a chance to play this..." for games that are a decade old. I had a good laugh tonight.
Usually when people say that they never got a chance to play it, they mean when it came out
Exactly...don't expect this guy to understand though...life if all about him/her.
Taking shots at people when it's not even a reply to them, classy. I had a good laugh at people who say "I'll wait until it's like 15 bucks or free." Ohh, I'll play your game but I'm not willing to support the industry because I'm too self-centered and I live in a bubble. Thanks for the good laugh tonight.
I think the industry has received lots of money. Been gaming since I was 9, I'm 44 now and I haven't slowed down in my buying of games. I play almost all genres and what I said earlier I meant. IF you want to play something you shouldn't be beholden to console, or dev or publisher or peer pressure. You simply buy it and play it. However, its difficult for me to comprehend how a game that is 10 years old was NEVER played, especially a super popular game like FF series is, especially 10 years ago when their popularity was still admirable. I also find 99.9% of the industries practices to be something in-between ridiculous and unbelievable. And how today's consumers have lapped it up like so many crumbs. $50 for a remake that looks like cleaned up textures? of a 10 year old game with nothing else to offer of merit? That's ridiculous beyond comprehension. Heres the thing, lets say I decided to say nothing, and let the internets do what it normally does. Let say I never interacted with another gamer and/or discussed this crap with anyone. Peoples willingness to part with hard earned money for little value, STILL affects me and others like me that kind of want value for dollar. Not premium price for nostalgia and minimum effort. I know, its a retarded (as in foolish not mental or physical capabilities) premise.
I pay just under $50 for a tank of gas and I get way less mileage out of that than I will with this game, value is in the eye of the beholder...I understand your viewpoint, but you have to understand that this is a big deal (and not too expensive) to those of us who just didn't get the chance to play it before. Value is different from person to person.
