Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

They should at least play video games. Watching YouTube videos is not the same thing.
They should at the very least be capable of playing games if they're going to talk about/review games.
If a player (or reviewer) is bad at game, a person my criticize the game for being poorly designed or unfairly hard. When it is actually the players lack of skill that is causing them to be more critical of the game they're playing.
That person in the polygon video has absolutely no right reviewing Doom... if you can't play the games properly, how are you supposed to give a "professional" opinion?
They shouldn't be good but they should be gamers to some extent. I just hate when someone reviews a game based on their opinions or someone review a type of genre they never liked. We need some rules for who can review games and whos reviews actually matter and should be counted.
