The Xbox Scorpio - if the rumored specs are true - sounds as if it will be Microsofts attempt to win over console gamers with the "Most Powerful Console On The Market" angle, which I feel is something they desperately needed to do. Microsoft are a prideful company, there was no way they'd sit back and not do something drastic. However, if the PlayStation Neo does launch this Fall/Winter, and the NX drops in March, it could be tough sell for MS (assuming the rumor of a Fall 2017 release are true) if the price reflects the power under the hood, because not all gamers can afford all the console, especially 3 years since their original launch. Regardless, tech whores and the hardcore gamers will be chomping at the bit to get their hands on the latest and greatest tech.

Tech whore here:

PlayStaton VR (October), PlayStation Neo (Rumored Fall 2016), Nintendo NX (March 2017), and Scorpio (Rumored Fall 2017): I actually like the staggered releases, gives me time to budget for the next tone. The real problem for me will be whether or not I'll have enough money for any games in-between each console launch. I have to save up the money in order to pay for these damn thing. Console gaming as we know it is changing and I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. I understand technology is advancing at a ridiculous rate, but I always appreciated the simplicity of console gaming.
