See Why MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X is Better Than Founders Edition No Matter What

"GTX 1080 Founders Edition is clearly not as good as the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X.

Why? due to a variety of reasons, but what we have at hand right now is a comparison between the two cards, one which is the official release from Nvidia – that the company promises will not be limited in quantity and will also not get a price drop – while the other is MSI’s GAMING X version of it." nice i hope you have at least a 1440p-4k monitor to max it out to it's fullest idk the 4k monitors i have my eyes on are good but they dont go over 60hz i think i will stick to 1440p-122hz

@ONESHOTV2 I just ordered a 27" 1440p Gsync monitor for my GTX 1080. 1080p is too low for this monster. I play most games now with DSR.

ninsigma1798d ago

Playing on 1440p.
1080 would be a waste of money for 1080p imo when you have great value cards like the 1070 and rx480.

ONESHOTV21798d ago

that is true unless you have a 32 inch that can push DSR. i have a 27 inch and i can't go over 1440p everything gets blurry at 4k i dont know if the size of the screen changes things when you are upscaling

Never actually used DSR. Worth it??

ONESHOTV21798d ago

yeah if you have monitor like a 32 inch i think it scales better to 4k but 27inch scales to 1440p very good. things get super small and blurry when upscaling to 4k on a 27 inch. you should try it out if you have at least a 970 or and r390 i dont know much about amd so you would have to search how to do it on there cards if you have one
