‘The Order 1886’ dev working on two projects alongside ‘Deformers’

If you are disappointed by Ready & Dawn’s recent video game announcement, fret not; the studio is currently working on two projects in addition to Deformers. While answering questions about Deformers, Andrea Pessino - director of Deformers at Ready & Dawn, disclosed that the development studio is working on two more projects. Prior to Deformers, the company developed PS4 exclusive The Order 1886 and several PSP titles - most notably God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. While Deformers may be Ready & Dawn’s present, it doesn’t necessarily represent the future of the studio.

I'm not sure what the disagrees are for. I liked the game I'd like a sequel as well. But it's a fact they had big plans for DLC and sequels. But they didn't make any DLC except the launch DLC. I doubt the game made much of a profit if any, it seems like an expensive production.

A sequel would add value to the first game.

The Order 1886 is one of the first PS4 games I'd buy if I ever get a PS4. I don't care what the haters say, the story, characters, design and atmosphere along with the story all seem interesting enough to play and hopefully it gets expanded upon in a sequel.

Well they need to prove themselves again, and even though we would be happy to see another AAA game from them, some low-budget low-risks small games like DEFORMERS probably is the good call right now.

They proved themselves well enough that they can make make interesting story driven linear TPS games. The order, while flawed, was a decent experience and I'd have no quarrels with them working on a sequal. In fact I hope they are!

I want them to do good, but Order1886 isn't really proving their worth.
You may have no quarrel with Order1886, but there is no denying majority of gamers out there felt it was mediocre at best. If they had proven their worth, we would be seeing a sequel as well as a more high profile game from them partnered up with a more established publisher.

Honestly, I'd give them a 5/10 when it came to the gameplay department for TheOrder1886. The gameplay was just passable. There was barely any gameplay there to begin with. Just small corridors of generic enemies. It kills me because this franchise has SO MUCH potential that's waiting to be used. It pains me because I keept thinking about what the product "could've" been if they focused their creativity on gameplay.

The Order 1886 was a fantastic experience. It's truly sad that R@D was made to apologize for something so beautiful and with so much potential.

The smear campaign and mouth breathers who attacked the game while never even playing it destroyed a potentially great IP. Even more sad, it basically shattered the company, dismantled their longstanding relationship with Sony, and entirely crippled their spine.

I hope ppl are happy that the technically brilliant engine and incredible world of The Order are going to waste. I hope ppl are happy to get utter garbage like Deformers rather than a gorgeously high brow AAA like The Order 1887. All the undo venom and vitrial are to blame. R@D will dissolve within 2yrs and the talent will be absorbed by other devs. Congratulations biased media and blind fanboys, u won...

People tried to make the game something it never wanted to be. Most reviewers forgot to take the game for what it is. It never wanted to be the Gears competitor some people strangely were expecting.

I would quite like to see where they would go with a sequel to The Order: 1886

The ending scene seemed to set it up for a much more open sequel. At least that's what it seemed to imply.

And to see the reactions from gamers to Deformers has been pretty horrible. The game looks incredibly fun and unique, and R@D have been clearly working on other AAA projects, so I don't understand why people are saying things like "man what a bummer" in reaction to Deformers. Especially when it has more gameplay that I thought The Order was criticized for lacking?

Biggest thing is to improve the lycan fights for me. That was the let down for me really. Other than that it had solid tps so if they extend the gameplay and add a variety of different enemies and bosses that will be a great sequal in the making! Story was great and looms like there's tonnes more to tell. I'd love to see the world fully realised

The Order was so generic that you don't need to make another one, you just have to play any other linear 3rd person shooter and at least then you will get some other games e.g. Max Payne 3, Uncharted that aren't generic.

Generic means ordinary in a sense of not creative, typical, seen many times before.

The steampunk lore they created was not generic at all...so wasn't the mix of cinematic and shooter elements.

Edit: don't pretend you're more intelligent when you actually aren't. The word generic derives from Latin genius and inhabits all the meanings I told. You just pretended to have used it in an uncommon way because you didn't want to be wrong. Btw I already told you that even by your meaning of the word you're clearly wrong since the game doesn't try to be a third person shooter in the first place. The main focus was and is the cinematic presentation which you'd know if you really had played the game.

The word EPIC btw derives from Greek Epos/Epik which means story/Tale/narration in a wide sense. Glad to help you out!

Would love to play as Galahad once more Sony. They laid a great foundation with The Order 1886. Just imagine a sequel with more likan encounters, a horde mode etc...

Ok so as a Sony fan myself I generally try to defend this site as not being PRO sony all the time but then I see positive comments about The Order and the character Galahad and really have to eat my words.

Don't take crap from the companies you like. Hold them accountable for it. The PSP God of War Games were decent. The Order 1886 was very visually impressive and an extremely underwhelming not very good at all title. When you praise companies for garbage you are just going to get more garbage. Focus on positive promotion for the titles Sony has that are actually good like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, God of War (excluding ascension remember accountability) and the other 50 someodd titles they have released in the last 20 years that are absolutely amazing. The Order 1886 is the PS4's HAZE right now. Don't fool yourself otherwise.

Did it ever cross your mind that people actually enjoyed the game?? That people actually knew what they were going to get because they researched the game and therefore weren't disappointed because they knew what they were buying?? It's not about r@d "shills" as you put it, it's about a game that people liked. Not everything can be uncharted and tlou, in fact, very few games are as good as them. Short, linear tps games with story focus have as much place as any other type of game.

Article is about RAD and the order and you find weird that people who liked the game (there are many whether you believe it or not) post positive comments about it?

( Ready *at Dawn - not Ready & Dawn ) Order 1886 is unfinished. Sony needs to give them a chance to complete it. Ready at Dawn just needs to put game play as their main focus and rubbish QTE.
